The Real Connection Between BABYMONSTER and BLACKPINK Revealed in the MV Teaser Forever

On June 25, YG Entertainment released the MV teaser for "Forever", the digital single comeback from girl group Babymonster. And fans discovered that the same bag worn by Babymonster in the forever teaser was once worn by the girl group Blackpink in their pre-debut photo in 2016, this seems to indicate a real connection between the two girl groups.

Yg original plan while forming BlackPink was BabyMons7er. Rose' said "They wanted a big group 10" but the charisma of the four now known as BlackPink emerged. So YG, orginal plan is now present in BabyMons7er. Just like BlackPink, 4 all rounder, but BabyMons7er now has 7 all founder. As a Blink Go BabyMons7er!!!

exactly!!!! Kpop is all about concept and YG had this pre Blackpink. And it only took him 7+ years to find the girls for Babymonster. "Once an idea has taken hold of the brain, its almost impossible to eradicate" -Inception Babymonster is the dream that YG had, and he made it into reality.

I believe that pre-debut, the BlackPink girls had the option of their group being called “BlackPink” or “BabyMonster” and chose the BlackPink name.

I once said that there was a project for 7-9 GG members at YG, several sources mentioned the word "Monster". From the many trainees they formed temporary groups, namely Future 2NE1, PinkPunk (changed to BP), etc. This plan failed due to a scandal at YG & not meeting the criteria that YG was looking for which caused many trainees & staff to leave. From the remaining members, BP was formed, a combination of Pinkpunk and the remaining members for "Plan B". But instead I was bullied in the comments column because that didn't make sense lol.

It shows how YG was always planning to have a group named Babymonster!!! So..... ironically the concept of BabyMonster preceded Blackpink!!!! Concept-wise Babymonster is the Unnie to Blackpink.

This would only be evidence that YG re-uses everything. BP often had references to older songs of theirs in new songs, and capped that with "Shutdown".

I think the word you are looking for is Nostalgia: a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations. They spend millions on their MV, whats wrong with callbacks to their previous work? Chandeliers, Army Tanks, convertible cars, etc. It also gives the fans something to keep an eye on. Its all based in the YG universe- we are just visiting.

@@vanthadoun1 I'm retired from a career in marketing, so I understand language. I didn't mean nostalgia at all, I meant that YG re-uses things a lot, and that's what I said. Viewers may see it as nostalgic, but YG sees it as after-marketing and fan service. I guarantee you that YG is not nostalgic.

Re-use is not a word to use in this situation, as they know what they're doing. They wanted to reference that blackpink will start solo activities and will be hiatus for group projects, so that's why it's "Shutdown". Understand the meaning behind a MV instead of using a word like "re-use" like an anti.
