Introduction:In today's video, I'm excited to show you how to create film emulations as styles inside Capture One using fylm.ai
I'll walk you through the process using an image I worked on with a client a couple of years ago, highlighting the before and after results.
Project Overview:
I recently completed a big cat photography project, which involved shooting over multiple days and in different lighting conditions.
My goal was to create a cohesive set of images with a strong filmic look, even though some might find the grade a bit heavy.
fylm.ai Overview: Let me introduce you to fylm.ai, a LUT creator used primarily for film and photo editing. I'll demonstrate how I use fylm.ai within Capture One to create custom styles.
fylm.ai's web-based nature means I can access my work from any computer, which is incredibly convenient.
Workflow in fylm.ai : I'll show you how to import images from Capture One into fylm.ai.
You'll see how I build color grades using AI tools within fylm.ai, and how I match colors across different images for consistency.
Practical Application: Follow along as I export images from Capture One, edit them in fylm.ai, and reimport the styles back into Capture One.

If I apply the same procedure that is used in this video, I save the icc profile in Capture One, so the resulting image is unusable and looks completely different than on the fylmai website. I also tried to edit raw in fylmai and it is the same as in the case of jpg exported from Capture One, also the photo looks different in fylmai and different in Capture One. I use Fuji GFX, I save the ICC profile for the Fuji format and it is simply unusable. I don't know where I'm doing wrong.

The results are good! But the green color cast on the raws is ridiculous, so much so that if I hadn't watched you reset the image, I'd have said it was faked/exaggerated

Is there a way to keep the styles with that specific session DB? Otherwise it seems like these would really pile up over time.

I don’t believe that’s possible but you can manually organize styles in folders and sub folders to keep them organized. Please let us know if you need details on how to do that.
