Made this shortly after watching this video, purposefully cut everything really small so I didn’t have to wait too long… and I’m having that “a cold is coming” feeling so I’m about to drain one of my two jars and give it a shot ;)

Dog-gon! This stuff really works! I made some about 2 years ago, but haven't been sick since I made it & some elderberry syrup. I keep the syrup in the fridge. I started feeling a cold coming on after being around grandchildren over the weekend. I pulled the fire cider & syrup out, diluted with a little water, held my breath & gulped it down. I don't know how long before I could feel a difference, but I know 2 hrs later I realized my sore throat & runny nose were better. I figured the cider would still be good but expected the syrup to possibly be wine. But it looked, smelled & tasted exactly how it should. I had hoped it would help but honestly didn't have much confidence in it. By golly. my symptoms went away for several hours. It's made a believer out of me! You do need to keep taking it 3-4 times a day. But it works without making me tired or affecting my blood pressure. I'm sold!!!

I never thought of it as medicine, but I make something sort of like that, it's never the same recipe twice, (old Patròn bottles are nice) and use it with oil and maybe some straight balsamic vinegar as cut if too strong, for salad dressing. I had always thought of it just as flavored vinegar, but now I'll call it medicine !

Great recipe. We're in the Willamette Valley, Oregon and just received today in the mail a pound of fresh turmeric from Honey Tree Farm in North Carolina. Will use some of that in this recipe and save the rest to plant out in the garden. Thanks Ariel. Great channel.

As an one-time apprentice herbalist ( I worked with an herbalist, gathering, processing, etc., so I could learn from an expert), I can see why this concoction would quickly boost immunity. And so quick to make and especially use! And, I'm embarrassed to admit, I have Rosemary's herbal on my shelf and have never used it. Good video and good kick in the pants.

@@DragonflyenAmber thank you for the reply… I made a jar in early December and nearing the 6 week mark at the end of this month… can I then blend the jar or just strain and dump the veggies for compost…seems like it would benefit to keep everything together and blend at the end…or at least that’s my process to not waste anything…
@DragonflyenAmber
@DragonflyenAmber 3 жыл бұрын
@@lilyavery8230 What do you mean by blend? All the ingredients are in the same jar correct? (blended in together) When I say I put them in the blender I'm saying that I put them in to be chopped small before putting them into the jar of vinegar. After using them yes, I put the veggie bits into the compost bin

This looks amazing! All those ingredients are so powerfully good for the body. I bought the book you referenced too Ariel, keep sharing these types of things, so very valuable. Also, I meant to mention on your last video to look into the supplement NEEM. It’s good for so many things, hair and skin, parasites, cleans the blood, and it also helps periodontal issues. I came across it by accident and have been taking it for approximately 2 weeks. I literally can feel a difference, I feel clean inside and lighter. Hard to describe but I’m pretty impressed so far.

Thanks so much for making this video. I am trying to grow ginger and turmeric indoors this time as they did not like being moved outdoors in summer in my area. It is so expensive in the store as is everything but I was able to get a 3 foot plant out of it the first time. They say to use coco coir to grow it in and soak the root to get it to sprout before planting.
