Would love to see a bowie knife in wootz steel, shaped something like the SOG Tech Bowie.

Nice razor! When using the strap, don't turn the razor over the edge, turn it over the razor back, otherwise you may not get a perfect sharp razor.

Love your videos, love you knives too. So a request... how about a Bowie Knive made out of some of your metal scraps from your other projects. Run that material through your Wootz Steel process, let's see what you come up with. Should be very cool!

next time pull the knive and not push it against your hair at the sharpness test. the idea is not to cause you skin irritations, but to proof the blade perfectly sharp - so going with the direction of grow, and just sliding the knife over it, should get you some nice results and seperate good from truely great edges. the grinding sparks also have caused some slight tempering, so even if you fully hardened it threw (What Alloy? What Oil Temperature? Have you tested hardness?) the additional heat softened it again. Why dont grind it more preshaped, harden it than, and just take of a little bit material but with lesser pressure and rpm, and for best with a cooled system that can run wet?

Lovely work as always. I enjoy watching you make blades. If I may suggest somehting though, try to have that work rest as close as possibly to the grinding/sanding surface. Getting anything, including clothes or body parts pulled into the gap is not fun (ex metalworker-been there).

Unaligned makers mark almost broke my heart... Handle material is G10 I guess.... They are practical, effective, but for me an eyesore for something as classic, as vintage as straight razor.

Nice piece. You are getting better. I prefer my razors to sit tighter in the scales and a slightly more modern look like Ralph austs. I would also show how you sharpen because most of us straight razor guys prefer a progression of stones like the naniwas ending with the 10k or 12k. Then linen leather combination. Other than these details I would love to own a razor in this type of steel. Thank you for making them.

Also your bevel looks perfect. Many modern razors haven’t figured this out and my hart steel blade needs three layers of electric tape to take an edge!
