Although a crisp review, at the end of the day we ride the vehicle and not the spec sheet. I still own Yamaha FZ V2 for more than 5yrs and my friend sold his Dominar within an year as he faced refinement issues. Yes ! Price justifies reliability. You're going to be owning the bike for long run.

Just because D250 is from Bajaj, people are degrading it. For the price tag of 1.88 lakhs on road, I would definitely say it's value for money with multiple features included. Coming to engine part it's a refined version of KTM 250 engine with 6 gear transmission. Yamaha loses out lots of features which D250 is providing, and comes at price bracket of 1.78 lakhs on road. People can complain D250 for it's huge kerb weight of 180 kgs, but for an experienced rider he wouldn't even feel it and weight adds high stability in touring especially in highways.

I am still getting accustomed, after riding a twin-cylinder Honda Nighthawk 250 for more than 10 years ! (I preferred the Honda's engine and gearbox) Otherwise, so far, so good. Trinidad & Tobago.

Taken test ride of both Dominaar as well as fz25 and many other bikes, before buying fz25 last year. I love the straight-line speed and stability of Dominar... However I don't know if it's a weight distribution thing or what..Dominar is a heavy bike that feels even heavier when you ride!!! I have FZ25 an year old. Very sharp acceleration. Uniform torque band throught the rev range. Even in the fifth gear can over take. Cheap to maintain as it shares parts with FZ. Can cruise all day at 110-120 @8000 RPM which is quite below the REV LIMITER 9200 RPM. REMARKABLE RIDER and PILLION COMFORT. For indian road conditions it is not recommended to go beyond 120 in any bikes. 90-95% of my ride is in the city and it offers excellent suspension and mileage. Headlight is poor though. Can improve on that. Can ride it hard and rough. It can withstand. It doesn't need liquid cooling as its compression ratio is not as high as Dukes (be rational). Even in bumper traffic I don't feel any heat. POCKET FRIENDLY MAINTENANCE. It is the acceleration and torque that give the excitement which it has as the STRONG LOW and MID RANGE. It is YAMAHA.

Who says Bajaj engines are not reliable? I have ns200 2013 model clocked 70k kms and still it's butter smooth and doesn't lacked performance. Performance is right on mark till now. Changed chain set once at 50k kms and never costed me extra unnecessarily. I mostly rev it hard coz I ride mostly on highways at 140kmph and most of the time I rev it to it's limits at 170kmph and it never failed me. It's just the wrong thinking in Indians minds that Bajaj is not reliable but fact is Bajaj has become the most reliable brand in India now bcoz it's constantly improving it's build quality with every year and yamaha's build quality and engine quality is degrading year by year . Now Yamaha engines didn't last long it's a fact
@anandkrishna660
@anandkrishna660 4 жыл бұрын
But people blindly believe that Indian means bad. It's wrong. Bajaj parts are light on pocket. It is very easy to maintain too.
@mandeepsingh9469
@mandeepsingh9469 4 жыл бұрын
@@anandkrishna660 it's because of old mentality bcoz in older times Japan was far ahead of India and still it is ahead of India but things change with time. And indian bike manufacturers improved their quality too. If my ns200 can run 70k kms without any issue then any Bajaj bike can run this long it's not quality issue it's about how you maintain or ride the bike bcoz for every action theres an equal or opposite reaction. Bike reaction is directly proportional to our action. If someone is careless about his bike then even if he has a Yamaha r15 it will not last long.

Comparing Japanese technology with Indian is not fair i think. Yes i understand the sentiment with dominar being indian and getting slightly biased review and yamaha india increasing the price steeply but FZ is far refined, crisp, light and reliable than the dominar. Its not about top end performance, no one rides in top end all the time, not even in motogp. So more power in indian roads is an absolute waste of energy. Plus, yamaha knows how to make bikes.. its 150cc bikes have liquid cooling and 6th gear. So had they felt for one in FZ, they would have added it. Here, everyone thinks they know better than Yamaha and claim for the need of 6th gear and liquid cooling. Pathetic.

Good review!! Unbiased. Yamaha is the reliable vehicle also every day Ua not going in a breakneck speed, only while touring that too at 100- 120 kmph is an advisable speed. In the case of Pulsar if it is not battered and serviced periodically by a well versed dealer definitely Pulsar is also the Best!!.

But the FZ25 doesn’t feel like a 250cc bike at all. It just feels like a 150cc bike with a little bit more power. Even pulsar 220 is more powerful than this. Then why should you spend this much money on FZ25. I don’t understand why people are supporting this bike from Yamaha.

Bro have you ridden a FZ25? Don't just look at the bhp keep an eye on the torque too. 😂 FZ25 is quicker than the bajaj 200s rtr 200 and R15v3 as well. The only con is lack of 6th gear and hence the top is speed is around 135-140. Above 120 the bajaj 200s will overtake the 25 but till then the 25 will be ahed. And yeah, no chance for rtr at all.

@@jithinjoy3144 I have fz25 and it has been 4years , You are saying it vibrates above 90 ? It seems like you don't like the brand YAMAHA but choose your words wisely because a bike which has the top speed of 145 doesn't vibrate at 90kmph, at 90kmph mark my bs3 fz25 engine goes like butter even after 4y and bs6 engine does offer more refinement, Actually you don't know about the brands like yamaha,honda, suzuki, kawasaki. I know that these brands are not Indian brands but these brands have set a benchmark and that is the reason why India brands are now developing in order to survive in the two wheeler's Market, if these japanese brands were not there in the Indian market then you wouldn't have got the opportunity to be a witness of premium bikes like bajaj domineer, ns200, pulser 220f, tvs apache RTR 310, rtr200,rtr160, and many more, This japanese brands have brought the change in the Indian market and simultaneously Indian brands are doing there best to compete. I respect all India bike manufacturing brands but I love all japanese brands as they are more reliable.
