G Body LS Swap *UPDATE* Start Up, Idle. Paddle Shifting!

This is an update to our recent G Body Ls Swap we completed. We installed a Dakota Digital gauge cluster and did a little wiring to take advantage of the paddle shifting ability of the Holley Terminator transmission control.
We used a Dakota Digital part number BIM-01-2-HLLY to make the gauge installation suuuuper easy.

The G body is a great platform. I had a Regal Limited years ago that even with the 307 would still ride very nice and scoot right along! 😁 I’m a Ford guy but always liked the GM G bodies.

any idea what if any longtube headers will fit on an LS in a gbody?

What I can assure you is if you use holley mounts, holley headers fit. If you use BRP mounts, Hedman headers fit. Other than that I am not sure. It really depends on the mounts you are using.

Did you need a different drive shaft to run the 4l80 trans?

If you are asking if you need a different shaft than the one the came on the car yes.

You absolutely could. You can use any sort of momentary switch.

If you were to do something like this It would be $16-18k

lol man grab a 6.0 or 5.3 and a terminator setup with front facing headers gt45s and a 4l80e. some hard piping and a rear end from a grand national should be all said n done for around 5-7k. its an easy swap. just do research can be done for 2k if you are smart and know your way around a junkyard.
