Totally agree. I’ve been running the same G Code battle belt setup since 2016 and it’s never let me down. And it’s gotten almost constant use. I’ve also got a bunch of IWB holsters and they are by far the best I’ve seen.

It's a pain at first. You need to pinch the little clips on the bottom and slide the sleeve over them. Once you get the hang of it, they're not that bad, but it certainly took some getting used to.

I've ran this system on my last 4 deployments and my personal belt, mag carriers, and holster. I haven't found anything that matches in quality or the price. Made in my home state as well. Durable and plenty of mounting options. 100% recommend.

@TheBulletPoints3 жыл бұрын
Good question! The Molle clips take some getting used to. You have to squeeze them together and slide them at the same time. It's kind of a pain the first couple times, but you figure it out. I changed my set up about a dozen times when I first got it. Pistol mags on hip, pistol mags on front, buckle front, buckle rear, AR mags hip, AR mags back, no AR mags, etc, etc... Honestly, other than the amazingly high quality of materials, that is my favorite thing about this setup. You can configure it for a shooting competition, a duty belt, SHTF setup... Whatever you anticipate using it for, it can adapt. Once you figure out the trick to those clips, you'll love it as much as I do.

@4:35 how is it the holder's molle clip isn't sliding up and down the belt when you go to pull out a mag? @TheBulletPoints
@TheBulletPoints3 жыл бұрын
Good question! There's actually a small retention clasp that locks in place and prevents the clip from sliding up and down. It's locked in there pretty good, and will not come out unless you release it (which takes some effort). Great design!

Soft shells Mag holders I don’t like because..... they flop around when running like the cinch concept gives while running, (I run 556 with 28 rounds in each.) I also don’t like the cinch concept on these because if you are close enough to a hot enough flash or an explosion of you are operating in a war zone it would fry the bands.. I haven’t actually exposed mine to flash so that’s just a thought, love the low holster set up tho. It is super comfortable. Also the belt seemed so flimsy compared to hsg or ronin..

i like this a lot, but do i need a tactical duty belt or will my leather belt work?
@TheBulletPoints4 жыл бұрын
The way that the clips for the mag pouches work, you'll probably need a belt with webbing. You could always try it with a leather belt, but they may slide around. I'd suggest just buying the belt along with whatever else you need. You'll love it!

My toxic trait is buying holsters that I think that I will like and throwing them in a box and ordering a G-Code to replace it. Quality is second to none. Also, what extensions are you running on your Glock P-mags?
@TheBulletPoints Жыл бұрын
I don't think I've purchased another holster brand after getting my G-Code. They are absolute top notch! Those mag plates are by Zev. The Red ones are for standard (factory) Glock mags, and the Black ones go on the Magpul Glock mags. I really like both!

I took a look on their site, but couldn't find that exact one. I'd just reach out directly. They make holsters for Gen 5 G17's, so I don't see a reason why they wouldn't be able to just add the mold for the TLR.

It did, but I removed it prior to filming. Not a huge fan of them, since they always seem to bunch up your pants, but it did come with it. Also, the holster and drop section are rigid enough to where I didn't feel like it needed the strap anyway. Thanks for watching!

I have G Code belt. I’m not saying you are wrong but I’m not loving your set up. That type of belt is not designed to be worn over your shirt like a battle belt. Make no mistake this is not a battle belt. I run my G Code belt over my Velcro (hook and loop) inner belt. The inner belt runs through the belt loops of my pants and my shirt is tucked in. Also running the AR magazines at the 6 o’clock position, makes no sense to me. Please make a video of how you efficiently draw your mags for reloading from the 6 o’clock position. BTW good luck if you fall on your ass with those mags back there. Also how do you get in and out of a vehicle like that. Train like you fight and fight like you train. But then again maybe this is just range plinking gear for you.
@TheBulletPoints4 жыл бұрын
Good call. I pretty much agree with your assessment. I don't run rifle mags on my belt for training situations - they're on my chest rig. The reason for having them on the belt was to show what came with the setup that I purchased and to let folks know what was available through G Code. This was more of a review of their products and a plinking type of day at the range. We're in agreement that you should train like you fight, but this wasn't a training day for me. It was to show what G Code makes and give our viewers an overview. I didn't want to lug my plate carrier out to the range to give a belt overview, so the video is what it is. Thanks for watching and commenting, though.
@xxfire074 жыл бұрын
TheBulletPoints I see. I would say that the review/demonstration in this video can give the wrong impression to new shooters or people new to to this type of gun belt. You explained why you didn’t bring you plate carrier but you didn’t explain why you chose to put the mags at the 6 O’clock position. ??? Also you didn’t explain why you wore the belt over your shirt instead of the way it was intended. Thanks for your response. I appreciate it.
@lord.of_iron4 жыл бұрын
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this setup has a padded AND velcro inner belt that allows the rig to be buckled on both ways if desired. You could line the inner belt through the pant loops and then stick the outer belt on for maximum security, but if you had to you could just slap it on as he does in the video and still be pretty secure. That's what it seems like anyway
@xxfire074 жыл бұрын
@@lord.of_iron I have this same rig. So I disagree. Also if you follow the trends in gear, you would know that the battle belt was very popular about 5 years ago. The battle belt is thick and can not go through belt loops. It has a rubber back (kind of like the sticky holsters) so that you can use it over a shirt, coat or just around your waist. This belt was all the rage. But people soon realize that the belt still moves around some. Especially when you bend over or get in and out of a vehicle. Yes the belt belt works in a sense that your gun and gear stays on your body. But it doesn’t allow for a consistent draw. For that reason, many of those same people (professional and KZbinrs) have move away from the battle belt and back to gun belts, that good through the loop of your pants. Do what works for you. If you want to just have your gear not fall down your your ankles then wear it without belt loops. It will work. If you want to be the best and get a consistent draw every time then wear the belt the way it was intended. Enough said on this topic.
