So many good things about your playing. Wasn't even bothered by the breathing honestly. It's just like string noise. It's there when it's there. Loved how you didn't overdo on the rolled chords. Loved the separation of voices, especially the basses in variation 2, much like segovia did. Loved the dynamics and the clean playing. I'm learning the noad version and it's really isn't easy. Im making progress, but at a really slow pace.
@AndreasLindae3 жыл бұрын
thanks so much!!! I know that some are bothered by breathing etc. But you don't think about that at the time when you play it. It's just about the music... I remember the time when I recorded this. I was (and still am) excited about the composition. And that's what it comes down to.... Now it's been almost 10 years. It's crazy how time flies! Hope you are lucky with the Noad version. I don't know it. In fact the piece it not easy and taking it slow is always the right way to go. I did the same :)

So beautiful. This song makes me think of persevering through sufferings, like that man Jesus did, He who is called “Christ” by God. Personally, I must say I like Segovia’s rendition a wee bit more. That hammer on pull off he does on the 12th fret is nice. Thank you for posting this. You are graceful on the guitar, I would like to play more like that. Please keep it up, you are an inspiration.

This cover got me to buy a classical guitar (I had a dreadnought), and I love it. Herzlichen Dank! At around 0:55, when u switch from chords to fingerstyle, it seems you pause during one beat (one quarter note ,as it is in 3/4). That pause is not heard in the original and @tonyrowden's version. Am I right?
@AndreasLindae6 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks. Yes, you are right. I often insert pauses between sections. There is often a ritardando btw., too. It's a personal thing. Bach and Händel should not be played always like a metronome in my opinion. Completely personal :)
