Playing cards have been used throughout history to entertain and to educate resulting in an extraordinary array of playing card packs with different designs. In this project, Ensemble Augelletti explore the historic playing cards held in the British museum and connect them to different pieces of music. The first 26 videos are generously sponsored by the Continuo Foundation and this episode was filmed by the creative team at the National Centre for Early Music in York.
