The Ouverture was so beautifully and transparently played that I heard intricacies in Handel's counterpoint of which I was never before aware....and I may have played Messiah 30-50 times in my life!

This performance has the best "he was despised" on KZbin. It's chilling and tragic. The alto sells it in her face and voice. I keep coming back to it because it's so moving.

Perfection Personified. All other performances of this work are untidy, and lacking in technical perfection and the ornamentation sung by the main vocals is off-key - false for the most part and is certainly not technically on point - lacks precision. This performance ticks ALL the boxes of what Handel would have expected in how his music should be performed.
