Signora Margherita Maria Sala has become one of my favorite interpreters of Baroque music since her astonishing recording of "Dormi o Fulmine di Guerra". Beyond her flawless technique, her voice possesses a timbre that rivals only her artistic sensitivity! She is not a surface-level musician but one of great depth, with a rare emotional sensitivity and alignment to the nuances and subtleties of Baroque music! In her voice, every note has meaning and no one is dispensable. Signor Mario Garavelli, in his duet, did sublime work on the bassoon, accompanying but not merely remaining as a passive voice in the background, with his graces and ornamentations he is a co-soloist in every sense! Bravissimo to Ensemble Locatelli and Signor Thomas Chigioni! Thanks to all of you for sharing such gems that reflect the nuances and sensitivities of an ensemble that not only plays the music but also plays with the heart of the listener!
