If u want to know more about Soojin react to their "Villain dies" performance from Golden Disc Awards in Thailand plus there is one more MV u haven't seen which is not on Idle channel but on universe music it's last Soojin song but they re-recorded it and edited her out (u can see her blured or in the corners) right before the ocntroversy - it's called "Last dance", which is very intresting since it's their last song with main dancer.

Yeah I never noticed it before until recently someone pointed it out. I have now gone through the mv very slowly and: - Yuqi, one of her boots get stolen. Miyeon sells it. - Shuhua, misses one of her sunglasses lenses, Miyeon sells sunglasses. - Minnie has a red bag. Miyeon sells the same bag (maybe Minnie's bag got damaged). - Soyeon has a bicycle wheel, so she misses the rest of a bike. - Soojin has a valve wheel, Miyeon sells the same one. Everybody ends up getting mad at Miyeon.

Miyeon basically stole stuff from each of them and even kidnapped Yuqi, just to force everybody to interact with her. She's the senior member so even Soyeon had to play along. Miyeon set up games for them all to play together and against each other in order to get their stuff back. We see that Miyeon has bad form while golfing but Shuhua has excellent form and beats her. I still think the tennis/ badminton match is the most funny part. Somehow a teddy bear gets batted around then a racket gets thrown and coming back from that is a bowling ball sailing over the net...just craziness as the ladies try to one-up each other. It's just a lot of silly fun. I love it. :)

@@jamescurfman3284 - Actually what is happening if you watch closely, Miyeon and Shuhua are being controlled by Soyeon and Minnie's joysticks. Soyeon is playing and controlling Miyeon with her joystick and then Minnie is controlling and playing Shuhua with her joystick. The m/v is showing that no matter what, the girls wind up in chaotic scenarios, as Miyon and Shuhua end up hitting a bunch of golf balls towards the other four members, as you see the surprised looks by the other four members, and then Soyeon and Minnie drop their joysticks as the golf balls are being lunched at them, then you see the four members with golf balls in their mouths, and the happy looks of satisfaction by Miyeon and Shuhua right after that showing that they can't be controlled. Then the next scene, a normal game of tennis devolves into chaos between Yuqi and Soojin, they started with a tennis ball but kept one-up'ing each other, hitting biegger and more dangerous items to each other - a phushie, a can of soup, another raquet, then even a bowling ball. We do see Yuqi's boot being taken by Miyeon, but nothing other than that. Another reactor commented a day or so ago that he thought every member lost something, and we do see other items being sold in Miyeon's shoppe, but Miyeon was just luring the members into one location by her shoppe, as you see Yuqi so happy to have her lollipop, thinking she's special until she walks up to the other members and Yuqi realizes that all the other members got lollipops too. The central portion of the video is to show the chaotic and fun-loving nature of the (G)I-DLE members. Miyeon wants to haggle with the other members, but they just end up making a mess of Miyeon's shoppe, and then even Miyeon joins in the fun of making the mess. Then, during the shopping cart ride, they give Yuqi a steering wheel (like she has any control of where the members are taking her, she's having a whale of a time like it's an amuzement park ride). It was to show us how chaotically fun the members are, but we learned as time went by that the members were way more fun and chaotic than the Latata m/v showed us.

Dude, Uh-Oh is my favorite I-dle track! I especially love the aesthetics. As a Mexican-American, that chola look that the girls and the backup dancers adopted for the MV gives me a little something to connect to. Plus they look damn hot! Minnie in particular looks good with her complexion (the fringe looks great on her too!) I also really dig the 90's rap sound they seem to have taken inspiration from with the minimalistic piano and strings accompanying a driving beat. PS. Watching these videos back to back makes me miss Soojin even more. 😥 So glad you were finally able to catch up and watch these.

Since you are a fan of Minnie then you simply MUST check out Lee Mujin Service episode #1. Minnie sings some absolutely beautiful songs and does a duet with Lee Mujin. It's the most viewed episode of that show by far. I've watched it multiple times and Minnie's voice always brings tears to my eyes.

Little fact : Soyeon actually burned her hair while filming for Senorita, because of the fireworks. I've been a Neverland since they debuted, but damn I miss Soojin so much. I almost get teary eyes seeing her shining in the past MVs.

LATATA they're debut song . put them on a top in a blink of eye the start of the 4th gen girls groups war the 3 original leaders of this gen (G)IDLE /IZ*ONE /ITZY . i love this song so much the first time i can't believe than this deep voice can be a Yuqi real voice she look so young in this MV . i like the 90's vibe of UH OH for sure that song fit them so well . less fans of DUMDI DUMDI to me they're less good songs and SENORITA was ok .

Well, I just listened to Lorna Shore's entire Pain Remains trilogy, so this is quite the emotional whiplash right now 😅 Latata gives me HUGE nostalgia. After being introduced to the genre by K/DA, Latata was the first "proper" Kpop song I checked out sometime in late 2018. It would take me roughly another year and a half after that to really get deep into the genre but Latata opened the gate. BTS Mic Drop was what finally pulled me through if you were wondering. So yeah, Latata, Hann, Senorita, as well as a small number BTS and Blackpink songs were the Kpop I listened to back when I didn't listen to Kpop yet. I love how many Spotlight episodes you're giving us these days. As a suggestion since you like Viviz, maybe Gfriend could be a future Spotlight group?

It's totally fine to miss Soojin. She is my [G]I-dle bias and she always will be. It's hard to see her in the earlier MVs. If any Korean group brings back a member who was shunned for past misbehavior, Soyeon could do it with [G]I-dle. Cube is a small company, and Soyeon has a lot of influence there. I think if she can come up with a song and a concept where it makes sense to reunite with Soojin, its possible.

DG, if you have not yet seen it, I suggest that you watch (G)I-DLE's performance version of Latata on Queendom 2018. As much as you LOVE Minnie's vocals right now, I bet you will come away with a whole new appreciation for them after that performance! I am not sure you can get a reaction video onto YT for it without having problems because of the network, but I really think you need to see that performance even if we never see the reaction video. Maybe you could do a short recap video afterward so we get to hear your thoughts, even if we can't see the full reaction. :)

Minnie SCARED people, it was great. The behind-the-scenes watching Soyeon figure out who would start the song was funny. Each of the ladies did it in their own language and just the way Minnie did it, they all had goose bumps so Soyeon knew it had to be Minnie. There's just something about the Thai language, especially whispered in your ear... :D

Even though I started stanning (g)i-dle when they were already a five piece group, when I started checking out their past MV's I immediately started missing Soojin, too. And I don't understand why she had to leave BECAUSE everybody who cares for and loves (G) I-dle loved Soojin and wanted her to stay and only people who dont care for or love (G)I-dle wanted her to leave. They don't watch their MV's, they don't buy their albums, they don't visit their concerts and still they have the influence to let her being kicked out.... so sad....

Right. She was TWELVE YEARS OLD when all of that happened, literally half her life ago. Name a single kid besides Jesus himself who NEVER EVER did anything wrong. Soojin admitted to the parts where she actually did something wrong, and then refuted the rest. But the part they fired her for were the charges that turned out to be FALSE. They just could not wait to fire somebody just to make an example of them. Trigger-happy morons. The two-faced idiot executives responsible for Soojin's situation need to be FIRED WITH PREJUDICE so they can never work in the same field ever again, . Treat them all exactly the same way they treated Soojin. Just railroad them, waste their entire educations, take all their homes, clothes, boats, knick-knacks, toys, starve them, run them out of Korea altogether. They can go clean toilets in Singapore, eek out a living with no hope of ever becoming successful ever again. I REALLY hope that Karma comes early for every one of those turds.

Senorita's m/v is about two people seeing each other for the first time and becoming absolutely gued to and lost in each other that they are completely oblivious to anything else going on around them, even the most dangerous things go unnoticed because they are so into each other. If you get a chance in your off-time, watch "Senorita - Made By Soyeon" and she explains this. The "Made By Soyeon" videos were made by her because there were rumors going around that people didn't believe Soyeon could make, write, produce etc these things since she was a female, so she took people step by step through the process she goes through to do all these things (and proving the nay-sayers wrong). I remember she also made a Made By Soyeon for "LION". From what I remember, they are about 10 minutes each, they are very worth watching.

Senorita (looking back now) feels like foreshadowing of what is to come if the viewer wants to be in a relationship with them. It's going to be fun, beautiful, and exciting... but also dangerous. Like they knew that they were going to be pushing boundaries in kpop and risk their ultimate demise but it would not stop them. Just like all of the near death experiences in Senorita doesn't stop them from continuing on with performance. I think this is where you were trying to go when you mentioned "I never die" during your analysis.

Ahh early Idle stuff is so different, but I love it just as much. Latata is a great debut song, I think. While the song in and of itself is good but nothing too special, I think that it's designed to really show off the members' unique vocal styles in a catchy song. The lyrics are about seducing someone with a unique dance, but the song is seducing the audience with the unique aspects that only Idle has. It's a great introduction. Senorita is a song that a lot of people don't like, but I have always loved. The whole production WAS basically paid for by Kaja Beauty, hence the product placement in the MV, and that still feels weird to me, but I don't have a real issue with brand deal songs occasionally. I do love the idea of these girls walking through peoples lives entirely unbothered as they create chaos and destruction by their mere presence. Uh Oh is still one of my favorite Idle songs. I'm glad that you chose to interpret it not as a breakup song as some do, but as a statement of group identity. They are loyal to the fans who were with them from the beginning when they were overlooked and doubted and can easily see through the fake support of people just jumping on the bandwagon of a rising star. DUMDi DUMDi is an anomaly for me. I tend to despise summer pop songs and this is very much a summer pop song, but Soyeon did it in a way that I love. For me, the focus is actually not on the member vocals so much as the instrumental. The lyrics constantly refer to the drums because they are the stars of that song. It flashes through so many different percussion styles and rhythms, constantly adding and changing instruments. Sometimes it's a marching band style snares, sometimes it's bongos and hand drums, sometimes it's woodblocks and claps. It's so intricate hiding behind the facade of a generic summer pop song. I love it. Also one of my favorite Soyeon raps.

I love IDLE, I love music, personalities, talents, all. I feel really really sad for Soojin departure, but for some reason I feel that Shuhua took a leap of maturity from that point, obviously she always had the talent, but the evolution from Hwaa to Tomboy is too big for her. I feel like so much more could have been done for Soojin and it's sad that idols are forced to abandon their careers because of their pasts whether the accusations are true or not. It is a subject to debate for hours, so I will leave it there. A pleasure that there are still people who appreciate the talent of the girls from the beginning and do not forget that this was a group of 6 people. Peace. ✌️

Fun Fact: Soyeon came up with the song because when they were in America, one of the staff members always said 'Uh Oh' in a cute way and it was just funny to the group and it sparked Soyeon to make it part of the song.

The fact is this: on December 1, 2020, Page came out as a trans man on his social media accounts, specified his pronouns as he and they, and revealed his new name, Elliot. This is taken directly from his Wikipedia article. I know that people in Korea are generally not as familiar with the topic of transgenderism as some other countries. But that doesn't change the fact that it IS disrespectful to refuse to use someone's chosen name. You're not respecting his identity. Basically implying that you don't care about who he actually is.
