I love that he says lyrically ICP isn’t in the same stratosphere as him, obviously he’s never heard anything outside the great milenko I’m guessing. Yes, ICP isn’t no Eminem or DMX as far as lyricist. But, they are some of the best story tellers in hip hop history. If you haven’t heard anything outside their popular songs don’t even come at me. There’s no denying they’re great story tellers and they sacrifice doing metaphor after metaphor for entertainment and songs you can really dive into the story. They are underrated when it comes to their lyrics and story telling so bad that it pisses me off. I listen only to hip hop, from beastie boys to a tribe called quest to kid cudi to ice cube etc. ICPs worst albums blows anything that MNE can put out on their best day. The juggalos need to give icps new music a chance, there’s some real gems they’ve released in the past 10 years, but people are stuck in their way where it’s cool to hate their new music.
