Any of these versions are worth playing, heck even the Game Boy and Famicom versions have charm to them. The SFC version though gives you that Bath House bonus stage not found in any other version of the game, arcade included, plus retains most of the background details from the arcade original. Excellent comparison video. I bought a lot of Parodius, and a friend helped me get a lot of the games in the series over various consoles. I have loved this series since I first saw it in US gaming magazines back in the 90's, and I swore one day I'd play them all, just didn't find out about the MSX version till around 2002. I finally got to play them all, and eventually owned every game in this series, except the final game, Paro Wars.

The Game Boy and Famicom versions are also great. It's amazing to have all versions of Parodius!

@@マナダイン Indeed, the GB version has it's own unique stage, and the FC version really adds a lot, even if a lot got taken away. I bought those, but the FC version I did not get till recently (along with Gradius II FC), feared it would slow down too much. Slowdown was not as bad as I remembered from emulating it.

@@Bloodreign1 I think both the GB and FC versions are arranged well. I also made a comparison video of Gradius II, so please take a look.
I love that game. I 1CC many times on SFC thanks to the slow down...I am upset at the conversion on Saturn and PS1 because they are not arcade perfect. The mid-auto option is not available. Also the Saturn version runs faster than its arcade counter part, make it very difficult to 1CC on hard mode. The PS1 is a little better because it does not run as fast as the Saturn version. I like the PCE version but still prefers the SFC version at the end.

The SFC version is very well made. The difficulty level has been lowered, so even I, who am not good at shooting games, was able to enjoy it☺
