I am so please to announce this collaboration with RAV Drum
Many years ago, I encountered a prototype of this scale and fell in love.
Five years later, I was able to to choose a layout, design and color this drum.
Unlike previous generations, this has no paint or coating, other than the hydrophobic coating.
I would compare the sound the that of instruments around 2018.
After five years of asking, Rav vast has finally created my signature scale, the Rewildyoursoul signature scale G Mystic.
The G Mystic scale is an iteration of a classic minor scale, brooding, mysterious and full of potential.
Percussionist will enjoy the tuned percussive space, which activates the G5 harmonic of the central note.
Having an isolated percussive area means strikes are there have a clean and woody sound.
For those who have styles more related to songwriting and melodic playing, this scales offers a new take on a minor scale.
Using diad pairs that are both horizontal and on the same side, players have a variety of novel positions to work with.
With the starting position in the second position, the scale layout innately guides you to different patterns and diad pairs.
Played it all styles, levels and abilities will be inspired by this new offering by Rav.

Yup, Similar to how the B Kurd and Celtic, mystic and D major are one/two notes different. With only 8 notes, it does quite change things. Something I do like it this does not have a reflection, present in many scales, thus more to say. You can usually count the usefulness of a scale by counting up from the one position to the octave. In the case of the mystic ( and Rav version of the Pygmy) D Eb G A Bb F are all distinct notes. Thus giving those that are not rambling, but writing music more to work with. Super fun! :) Thanks for checking it out!
