1:33 oh god that's like the coolest thing I've ever heard... I know you kind of meant it as a joke but it's still incredible. I've always loved to try new instruments, and my favorites have been piano and ukulele for about 2 years now. When I first saw this video, (by now I've rewatched it like 5 times) I saw that clip and my mouth was hanging open for the whole thing, I was amazed, literally stunned. I really do mean that. Right away, I thought, "Time to learn another instrument!". I went to amazon, and was immediately disappointed by the price. You mark my words though, I'll buy a handpan one day, and I'll practice until I can play like that. Excellent work brother 😎

I think you missed the 'for the insta' where they are never actually seen playing but just have a handpan in extremely unusual places like a Stand Up Paddle Board, the middle of a stream or the top of a mountain.

the teacher : the handpan player who can't stop giving advice to other handpan players the business man : the player that sells CDs, has a lot of videos, gives lessons... but plays very little the busker : the player that gets interrupted a billon time and and to explain that it's called a handpan, was made in switzerland in 2000's, etc... the newbie : plays with all the fingers stuck to the hand, muting the sound, and is so happy about it the student : plays a beat, messes up, plays again, messes up again, and so on... the Kuckerman disciple ; the Charrier disciple ; the Delago disciple, and so on... the high as fµ*k player ... man this is brilliant. Almost all of these players are based on first hand practice!!! :) Take care Kabe!

I took a workshop with Kabe. He taught us many of the exercises he does which reflect in his playing style. What I got out of it wasn't that to be good I had to learn his exercises, but that to create one's own exercises will bring through your unique playing style -the most beautifully and potently. This is what Kabe has done very much so with his own style.
