Where did you get your lenticular cards?

You buy lenticular foil. You print out a card with alternating strips of red and blue backs, or faces. The pitch needs to comply with the pitch of the lenticular lens foil. Glue it together. Some lenticular films have adhesive on the back. There's also special software to create such printouts for lenticular lenses.

I think i remember there was something that david blaine marcus eddie released a product that looked like a 3d printed deck same dimensions and the effect was to vanish deck leaving 1 card it just reminded me the white pieces

Yes, there's certain things you can do like have a blank card print or have Club change into spades or diamonds into hearts etc.

Goddamn, this WOULD actually work (and a deck switch device can sure make it even more realistic), holy shit. Limited to color by design (so no Ace of Spades to 7 of Hearts or whatever), but man, perfect visual doable in real life achieved.

Guess the £10 I just spent on the file is useless to me without being able to find the transparent rider back. Reminds me of the time I tried to make the half vanished dollar bill and couldn’t because the print files didn’t work on a home printer. Or the money I spent on the paint and supplies for the illusion of the key being seen through a card when you put a flame under it. Glad to support Lloyd but this is probably the last time I’ll spend money on something I see on the channel and just stick to getting his tricks that are mass produced

Maybe I'm just an old dog too far removed from modern magic, but is this gimmick used for film and TV and not street magic? Cause I wouldn't feel confident trying this trick up close with that deck. If it is for the screen, I think it kinda defeats the purpose because while that color correction didn't look great, it can look great. There are plenty of youtube illusionists that do the trick well with special effects. I love practical effects, but just like the 2nd deck, it's not good for close up magic. Audience members will recognize lenticular cards because they have a distinct texture that isn't like a playing card, and even a slight nod would give the trick away. You have to close dirty with both decks, and they can't handle the cards. It's like the trick is made for the screen, and if it is there is no point in keeping it practical, it just needs better special effects. I do think inks would probably be the best because your audience can at least handle the cards. I don't have nearly as much experience as you do, but it just seems more practical.
