G.O.D.S. #1 Review: Jonathan Hickman Does It Again!

I tried to read G.O.D.S and fell asleep. Twice. It was a boring, crap read. I’m not wasting my money on it again

Do you really get something out of complaining in KZbin comments? It drives engagement for me which I appreciate, but I'm curious as to why anyone would drop an insult with no real criticism, just flat insults that don't drive discussion.

@@somethingcentralcomics1339 criticism is not insults. Insults tend to be derogatory and mean. Mine was half of a criticism I hat to admit that. Full criticism is giving both side. Good and bad. I didn’t give the positives about the book

@@resistancepublishing Crap and boring are very much insults when you don't say what made you think it was crap and boring. That's not even half a criticism, that's giving a weak thesis with no supporting reasons. Though, while I don't like spending my time speaking mostly negatively about art, you don't have to give positives to give a full criticism. I believe you just have to give the why in more than two vague adjectives.

@@somethingcentralcomics1339 too much dialogue on some pages at times for no reason. I fell asleep. Writers are taught to start a story in the middle of the action. It’s a waste of real estate when you have a short book and you waste it with nonsensical dialogue. The writer should have kept dialogue simple. Short and concise. Especially for a new character no one knows about. It wasn’t a graphic novel so using the dialogue to create better character development would have been better. Waited too long for the action to kick in. Maybe that’s why I fell asleep. Doctor strange should have played a bigger role. He was used in the marketing but only appeared briefly. I could go on and on.
