Sehr schöne Stadt, die noch gut erhalten ist. Ich kann einen Besuch unbedingt empfehlen, war selber schon einige Male dort. Ebenso wie Bautzen gehört Görlitz zu den unterbewerteten Städten in Deutschland, warum auch immer!

Dem stimme ich zu. Am besten bereist man Bautzen und Görlitz vielleicht auf einer Runde: Dresden - Bautzen - Görlitz - Wroclaw - Prag und zurück nach Dresden. Das kann man gut in einer Woche machen, wenn man schon soweit in den Osten kommt. Von Wroclaw hoch nach Poznan und dann zurück nach Berlin geht auch gut, falls man Prag kennt.

Daniel, we sincerely enjoyed this walk. I can not speak for others, however, I prefer the walks with less people. So this was excellent! Also thank you for the Time Stamps! Interesting how you can walk over, across the river, on a bridge, w/o passport! I miss those days!

I find this documentary very useful for me. Kindly, counsel me on some opinions of people about Gorlitz. I just got admitted for my Masters program in TU Dresden and I am to have my studies in Gorlitz and Zittau centers. The school authority advised me to live in school dormitory at Gorlitz. Now my worry is Gorlitz safe for international student like myself? Because people opinion is that the place is not safe for foreigners. They said there is Xenophobia in east Germany town's in the east?. Please, I need more information concerning this. Thank you.

There are foreignerers almost everywhere now in Germany. I can't say for sure how the situation is in Görlitz but as a small town and not a village, I didn't encounter an extra xenophobic atmosphere. There is the occasional angry person but you'll have that anywhere. The average age in Görlitz seems rather high. I guess the university will have some guidelines or info but safety in Germany is generally OK. The mood can swing though after some islamist knife attacks like days ago in Mannheim where an Afghan killed a police man and injured 6 people - people get more weary of Muslim migrants though Görlitz isn't a hotspot. @@jeanvaljean7266 Eben in Görlitz wird sehr viel restauriert und jede Stadt verändert sich mit der Zeit,werde Januar dort sein. Weil ich leider mein Papa begraben muss.
