Just purchased the gold recrystallizatin one. It looks a lot better than the old gold version. Less shiny and “to-your -face”. Found only one in a Japanese internet shop and hit the purchase button right away. The positive display is much easier to see than the negative one.

I have the resin version and I have been wearing it for around 2 weeks. I realised that just by washing the recrystallised keeper and buckle with water and hand soap, it can help the recrystallised gold to appear slightly lighter.

For me putting the module 3421 with a calendar until 2039 was a bad idea on the DW5040PG-1 and worst no multiband 6 , no solar are all a deal breaker for me. I wrote to Casio USA about making a anniversary like the DW5000 and GW5610U-1 but they cut on some places. Nice review 😃

I got a metal parts kit to convert my 5600 over and I love it. Kinda wish Id splurged for one of those titanium bracelets now. 😂😂 These are nice but way out of my price range if I want solar. And I do.

I'd say it's a little easier but pretty close to the same. Yeah too bad it wasn't solar on the resin.

The black version is so cool, the classic and quintesential G-Shock. The other two I have to say are not my cup of tea honestly. They look a bit like substitute cases from Aliexpress. 😕

Do these watches offer any increase in functionality over the original full metal? No, but Casio are prepared to double the price for what amounts to a fancy paint job! The negative display should have been MIPS at the very least to improve legibility.
