This watch is absolutely Beautiful. I love G-shock
@redkingd0m3 жыл бұрын
I own the MTGB1000-1A and have been daily wearing it on my wrist for a little over 2 months now and I’ve got to say it’s seriously surprised me. I didn’t think this “big” of a watch would be comfortable to wear in the daytime and when I sleep at night, but it sits so comfortably on my wrist and I haven’t had any hot spots like Rob says. It’s a beautiful watch with the rugged utilitarian design that I appreciate from G-shock. I love the stainless steel case with black resin band look and it pairs well with any outfit I have on (one of the things I was looking for when searching for a 24/7 watch). The battery life after a couple weeks stays on low though even when I’m out in the sun and in the office, utilizing the tough solar feature (the low battery hasn’t impeded any functions yet so I’ll see how that goes). This is my first g-shock and their build quality is amazing! The price hurts, not going to lie, but it makes my heart so happy when I look down at my wrist and I would not trade it for any other watch right now. For anyone doubting if they want this watch, go for it. Save a couple bucks and trust me it’ll be worth it if you’ve got your eye on this. Plus it won an iF design award in 2019 so that’s pretty cool ;)

How does it withstand scratching and damage. I've pumped my gst-b300 a few times and there's some small scratches on the metal here and there. Would be a shame to get that on a $1000 watch.
@redkingd0m2 жыл бұрын
@@spacefox4684 The sapphire glass does withstand the scratching pretty decently, but the case itself will scratch. It’s been 2 years since I’ve owned it and it definitely has lots of noticeable scratches. Bare in mind I’ve worn it everyday since including sleeping and showering. I think it’s a beautiful watch, but you’re right; at $1000 I wish it didn’t scratch so easily but it does
@spacefox46842 жыл бұрын
@@redkingd0m yeah from what I understand the glass is pretty sturdy. Don't have any scratches on mine yet. I suppose accessories are just bound get damaged.

This model is really growing on me as I watch videos. This watch looks much better in 3D motion than a flat, static image. And this looks like the same module as in the handcrafted titanium MRG models, so this watch gives you MRG functionality at a quarter of the price.

I want to know why G-Shock SEEMS to be moving away from digital to these analog only watches. It’s a little disappointing to me. There are some really cool old MT-G and MR-G digital watches out there. After the success of the full metal square you would think they’d explore that a bit more. Idk. When I think of radio controlled analog watches I think of citizen. G-Shock is unique for their tough digital watches which go all the way back to their roots.
