G-Shock Square vs Casioak - Which is Right For You?

Comprehensive and useful. Thanks for taking the time to make this. Between the two, I prefer the square but do love the slim Casioak profile. For me, the 6900 gives me the biggest grin since it was my first G-Shock when I was a kid.

The 5610 reminds me of my first watch I had as a seven year old. It makes me smile.😊 I have a black 2100 as well. It´s more wearable at the office. The square is excellent at the tenniscourt. 😊

The GMAS2100 is more wearable on a smaller wrist. Of course the GMAP2100 is even smaller but no sub dial for the day.

Ya i have them both 5600 ue1-dr and 2100 forest green.square looks absolutely fantastic but casioak feels lot more comfortable wear

This summer i’ve just been on the Pelagos 39 and 5600UE. that’s been the majority of the year as well in reality.

Likewise, being raised in the 80s and having had lots of digital watches, I lean towards the square. Somedays, I just put it on as the horological equivalent of comfort food. I purchased a "CasioOak", but I couldn't connect with it, something about it just didn't click with ne. As a fan of G-Shocks, I really wanted to love it, but I never got that new watch "buzz" while wearing it. That said, I get while people like it.

Glad you got yourself a G-5600UE. It’s almost ideal. Wore mine today! I wish they would release a version of it with a screw back metal case (like the 5000U) as a tribute to the original DW-5600C.
