Obtaining a G1 license in Ontario is a pivotal moment on the road to becoming a licensed driver.
Preparation was essential. I studied the official "Ontario Driver's Handbook," highlighting key points and taking practice tests online to gauge my knowledge. Booking the test online was convenient, and I arrived early on test day with the required identification documents.
The test itself consisted of 40 multiple-choice questions, covering topics like road signs, traffic rules, and safe driving practices. To pass, I needed to answer at least 32 questions correctly. Taking a deep breath, I tackled each question methodically, ensuring a clear understanding before selecting an answer.
The range of questions included right-of-way scenarios, speed limits, and emergency procedures. Upon completing the test, there was an anxious wait for the results. Fortunately, I passed and received a temporary G1 license.
Taking the G1 test was both nerve-wracking and rewarding. It marked the beginning of my journey toward becoming a responsible driver in Ontario.
