I still think first strike is awful, maybe grasp would be better even if you don't stack it as much, for a fight maybe conqueror would be also better and that maokai didn't use many saplings during that long game so, it didn't work the way you said it would. tbh even predator could be better suited for engage. Idk why first strike would be used on tanks when really it is great with burst champions that also have the initial strike on their opponents, so the absolute opposite. And like you said, aftershock would prock after ult, well first strike will also disappear after ult 🥴
