Additionally, Rekkles is new to the team and they haven't quite figured out their synergy at this point I feel like... on paper it sounds like a very good idea, but I think G2 prospered because of the synergy they had with perkz and rekkles has a very different playstyle to him Edit: Mikyx was also playing kind of weird in the playoffs, in group stage he was top 3 supports EUW but now he was pretty far behind the other playoff teams

IMO, Wunder should play a carry top and Jankos should perma-camp top and mid to snowball Wunder and Caps. The best part about Rekkles is that he's a really safe and consistent ADC that doesn't need ganks. So G2 should capitalize on that and focus on snowballing other lanes to gain a strong advantage, especially since Caps and Wunder play a lot better as carries. This sort of playstyle also suits Rekkles really well because it puts less pressure on him and lets him act as the "foundation" of the team. As long as he doesn't get too behind, G2 will easily win.

Now that it’s been a week, I think G2 has one of two options. Both start with identify. 1. Remember who G2 is by playing those crazy comps and beating teams, by being better then them mechanically. Which had some to do with the players on that team. And the meta 2. Realize that iteration of G2 had Perkz in a meta where Mid lanes could go adc in pro play. They can switch up the style cause this iteration of G2 is the same Caliber maybe give or take less or more then the previous. And adapt a new style to fit this roster better in these metas.

Fallow up comment rekkles wasn’t a good addition to g2 he’s consistent but doesn’t fit the way the rest of team wants to play and also makes it’s so g2 lost their main strength a super amazing shot caller. Rekkles has had one play style his whole career and every years teams got a little closer to finding ways to beat it. Finally this year it doesn’t look like it’s gonna work
