I turned the downstairs into a one bedroom apartment, the under stairs room and took out the wall between the two and made a small toilet shower combo, I also extended out the back so the ground floor had almost as big a floor plan as upstairs.

So i have done this house twice now. the first time i kept the same layout.. but then i had an idea. I bought it again and rearranged upstairs into 3 bedrooms and bathroom. the garage i changed into a kitchen, diner and living room with a small bathroom and laundry room. i did have to extand the front out a little but it looked cool!

Under the stairs have that as a broom closet and the small room behind as either laundry room or extra storage maybe? (Like for hanging up tools on the the wall and tools that aren't used much is a thought.)

Suggestion: Downstairs make it into a "Man Cave" so you can put a toilet in the left door closest to the back of the house and a small Laundry in the next room under the stairs

It's a bit of a shock going from a very warm tone, then you go upstairs and it's shockingly cold with the grey. I would have went with a darker beige color on the walls. And you have to think of warm and cold when you do wood as well. The darker wood is inviting to me where the wood floors upstairs seems very cold. Just my own opinion. Just think of colors as warm and cold and I think you can do way better. But it's your show, do what you want. Still enjoy the series though.
