BGA breakdown: Beginning: Supersaw: Numbers with a dash or dot on right represent the super saw note length in 1/64 intervals White numbers are in beat 1 and 2 Magenta numbers are in beat 3 (only in bar 5-8, 13-16) and 4 Arpeggios: Letter represent note letter = means no (natural) accidental and + means sharp accidental Number of Apostrophes (‘) represent how many octaves to shift the note up E.g. f+’’’ means F#4 and c=‘’’’’ means C6 Ambient part: Frequency of D#6 = 1244.51 Hz Frequency of A#5 = 932.33 Hz From A#5 note: Number that has subscript(16) means the number is in base16 (hexadecimal) code. * means to multiply To know the multiplier in A#5, convert the last 2 numbers into hexadecimal, divide it by 256, use it as a percentage and add that by the first digit. I tried multiplying the numbers on a few occasions and the result is rounded to the nearest one, but correct. Triangle: Hi hat Circle: Deep Percussion Square rings: Snare Background warp: kick drum Weird dots during the middle: PrisonerVOX Symbols in the middle bottom on second half of ambient part: arpeggio notes Triangle position is the frequency, if more to the right the frequency is higher, and vice versa. Ending: Triangle BG: No amenbreak Square BG: Light amenbreak Connection BG: percussion + amenbreak in triplets Eye BG: 192 BPM percussion + amenbreak Supersaw # of Magenta circles: shift the base note by # semitones, in this case the base note is B. Rounded rectangle: Amenbreak sequence Dot moving to the left: Arp Pictures of real life people: Lead synth note sequence Notes: It was never given what the name of the voice is, but it is named prisonervox in the bms ogg files, so I guess PrisonerVOX is a suitable name. I know this has been decoded before but I’ll explain how Frums invented this code. About those weird dots, they represent a 3 digit base 3 code. Digits are read from bottom to top, and letters were read from right to left. Black is 0, White is 1, and Magenta is 2. The maximum value is 222, which represents 26 or Z. 000 represents a space. So to actually decode this, convert the base 3 lines from right to left to base 10, then decode it using the A1Z26 cipher.

the complexity in this is astounding. honestly deserved a way better place in the contest, it's miles ahead some of the competitors. I think the fact that you made both audio&video helps the absurd level of compenetration they reach. at this point it transcends rhythm games completely. maybe the irregularity and patterning make it too anti-meta, but it stands on its own fantastically.

Considering that there are 27 possible combinations per each column(presumably 26 alphabets plus one for a space), one might find a key for finding such pattern, the frequency. In English, the alphabet 'e' tends to be more frequent compared to others, and therefore one could presume that the most frequent sequence of pixels correspond to 'e'. Was looking for this comment, glad to see more people knowing of game of life
0:50 - 0:51 Tools shown in order: Scalpel (most likely type 18, although I could be wrong.) Scissors (Looking up "Surgical Scissors" brings images that look close to, if not are the same scissors shown.) Knife (Might be either a Glock Knife or a Commander Knife.) Hand Saw (No surprise) From what I know about frums music videos, is that there is usually a hidden thing within the visible. Take this with a grain of salt, but I feel like this song may or may not have to do with human experiments / a failed surgery. I know this may seem like a huge leap, but the scalpel and scissors are both used for surgery reasons. There's already a translation for the part at 1:08 to the end, so I won't bother copy + pasting the whole thing. That being said, some notable lines are: a maze with edges like their knives (1:08) but i don't know how much more they'll wake away before they're satisfied (1:36) shorn of unsightly limbs and organs (1:44) more stitch and scar than human (1:46) they have stolen away my spirit (1:52) i have no idea who i used to be (1:57) Some people may take it in a more whole hearted way, as in a person who didn't like the way they looked, so they got a chance to build their own body like they want to. *But what if we take it in the most literal way possible?* Well, it implies a very much darker tone. A person, wanting to be what they want to, but put through intense scarring from seeing their (or more likely someone else's) organs, causing their spirit to temporarily be passed away. They've forgotten who they used to be because of the mental scarring. Even the and Plus version of this song still makes me think. The ending of the and Plus version ends with what almost sounds like a person in pain, telling us that this wasn't at tame as we thought (4:12 for the and plus version). Like I said, take it with a grain of salt. This is just my interpretation. If you have your own, that's great. This might not be what frums intended, but it's what I thought when I heard this. -Limus

For me, I have a different opinion and perspective about this song: Notice how there are some ending lines go the saying: 2:02 they found me on my lowest days; 2:04 breathed life back into my frozen body; 2:07 promising a more beautiful future; 2:09 then I discovered; 2:09 what they wanted. The phrase “breathed life back” with the pronoun “they” may indicate that someone (I will refer to them as Tom for less confusion) is being helped by the people and being revived after his “lowest days”. They also promise to give Tom a better future for them, but what Tom discovers is something else. 2:14 and I saw my future reflected in their eyes; 2:17 a shimmering halo of impossible dreams; … The way Tom discovered what seems to be his already planned future, is out of his skills. The words “halo” and “impossible dreams” mean that the desire for them is too angelic and out of his reach. And because of that, they forced him to change as a person. “They have stolen away my spirit” means Tom’s personality has been erased for something they want, “They have sliced away my flesh” means they have “sliced” his original skin, and “memories scattered into the slipstream; I have no idea who I used to be” means that they forced him to forget, pushing all the best memories down the slipstream of the river. This could also solve why the title is “Pictured as Perfect”, and why the final part mainly consists of images of what seems to be the greatest people. "Pictured as Perfect" may seem a bit out of place for such chaotic music, but on closer inspection, the title is perfect for it. It means looking from the outside, every single thing, down to those little details is perfect. But what's inside is very different from what we think. The song had been used to describe what Tom is feeling, thinking about them, who wants them to be big, wants them to be perfect. Images we have seen in the final part are some of the examples of the greatest people whom they are using as social standards, to prove how much they had to work for to become "what they really wanted". In conclusion: Tom, who's a person in his lowest days, is being pulled out and forced to become what they call "perfection", and it hurts him mentally and physically

The beautiful stuff like this that Frums makes just makes me wonder if Frums has synesthesia. is the background conways game of life? at the part around 1:20
@4sety2 жыл бұрын
yup, the consensus seems to be that it's a tiled glider pattern or smth

I can only tell each 3x3 grid might represent something (probably a letter or a character) since there are reused pattern and sequence, and there are little exceptions. I also tried reversing and equalizing the audio at 1:32 but it doesn't seem to help...I imagine it very helpful if we can extract the message there.
@kaere7266 жыл бұрын
I think it's not a 3x3... (grid at 2:21 is 3x7) I guess every 3x1 grid represents a~z and space
@WoahE6 жыл бұрын
Kaere GDMC_ oh yes, that make s so much more sense...and triple black has the right frequency and seperation, i'm assuming that's space.
@kaere7266 жыл бұрын
the weird thing is that black-black-black grid appears too often. it wasn't space (I checked it with some coding)
@WoahE6 жыл бұрын
Man you're doing works! Have you also tried substituting them into the most frequently used letter list? I think that's gonna help a little.

@@kaere726 The BBB pattern should definitely be space actually; I went ahead and screencapped all the messages, organizing it on Inkscape since why not So, usually there has to be a keyword of some sort in order to decrypt everything, and it turns out to be the very last message, which 7 letters, with a repeating letter at the 2nd and 5th position My best assumption was to use the word 'perfect' and assume that BBB represented space With a bit of systematic trial and error, it turns out the messages are also reversed, so it helps to mirror the images before decrypting
