It's a part of the great falling away. I just didn't expect it on such a scale, and so quickly. Never stay with a church that is not in strict accordance with God's Word, and never settle for being too comfortable spiritually.

Mike Hamilton per the latter part of your comment, it's evident that you understand that trials and tribulations are part of the sanctification of true Christianity. Martin Luther King Jr. said "the true measure of a man is determined not where he stands in times of comfort and convenience, but in times of conflict and controversy". Albeit this wasn't a reference to Christianity, the principle certainly can be applied. Anyhow, I appreciated (and quite agree) with your statement.

Amen. Thank you Josh for explaining so well for confusions we went through this couple of years when we attended several Local SBC churches. It is sadden to see our church leaders disobey GOD’s word and confirm to the world view. GOD’s word and character will never change thousand years ago and thousand years after and forever.

So, good for You! Great time to awake! I will repeat one of vivic verse: Mat 3:12. This is what is happening now. Lord is seperating geniune believers seeking Him and waiting in spirit for His coming. Oneness is good testimony as long Lord testifies about it and glory is shining. SBC was long ago dead but this is judgment time.

The time will come when Pastors & Churches have to come out from under & denounce 501(c)3. In 1954 when the Johnson Act & 501(c)3 was offered to pastors & churches, that was the beginning of the great proliferation of sin in our country. It is Hush Money & a pact with Satan to stay out of politics & keep our mouths shut. Moses, Elijah, Jeremiah, all the Prophets, John the Baptist, Paul & all the Disciples confronted nations & government leaders about sin. Yet we say & do nothing as abortion, same-sex marriage were legalized & expand. Our children are indoctrinated with immorality & we say nothing. We have to start speaking up boldly. That is our responsibility!!! I keep hearing Baptist Pastors say "women shouldn't preach, women shouldn't teach" but God will send a woman when a man won't go (Judges 4, Jael)! Pastors stand up and be the leaders & godly examples you're supposed to be! Stand up to sin and tyranny in our government and culture, child sacrifice (abortion), LGBTQIA agenda, same-sex marriage, sexual perversion & indoctrination in our public schools!

Our awesome God showed me exactly where satan is working in my third year as a follower of Christ. I knew from reading scripture enough to know that not only was this my first SBC attendance, but it would also be my last. The devil is and has been spending his efforts cloaked in light to destroy the church from within. If I, in my first years as a believer, can identify and call this out... why have so many who have been in the Word much longer than myself followed blindly the words of men??? Read, believe, and eat up the word of God brothers and sisters!!! The devil is always roaming around like a lion ready to devour anyone in his path. Put on the full armour of God ❤❤❤❤

The true gospel is the good news of the Person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, it is concerning who Christ is and what He did to save His elect only. The gospel includes the how and why, which can only be seen by faith. It is a message that declares how the eternal Son of God came down, took on a body of sinless flesh (John 1:14) as He was born of a virgin (Mat 1:23). He was both God and man in one Person. He was born under the Law to keep and fulfill it (Mat 5:18, Gal 4:4). He did that, not for Himself, but for all those He represented because they could not keep it themselves. The word of God calls these people the elect or His sheep, among several other names. His obedient life also included the part of dying. He took on the sin of His people as both a Substitute and Representative of those people. The Bible said He was "made to be sin" (II Cor 5:21) and the way that was done is by God imputing (legally reckoned or charged to the account of) sin to Christ. That means all the sin of all those people God chose was "laid on Him" (Isaiah 53:6). This sin was legally transferred to His account and He then owned it in such a way to be guilty of it all. God the Father poured out His wrath and hatred toward sin on His Son and had pleasure (Isaiah 53:10) in doing so, in that, He was completely satisfied in Christ as a Sacrifice that met all the demands of His strict Law and inflexible justice. Christ finished the work of paying the penalty of the Law and then said " It is finished" (John 19:30). He secured salvation for all God’s chosen people that would even be born. His resurrection is evidence of the acceptance of His sacrifice to the Father. The combined work of His obedience to the Law and His obedience unto death on the cross was considered establishing righteousness. This is what one of the Old Testament prophets prophesied as "bringing in an everlasting righteousness" (Daniel 9:24) as Christ died effectually and exclusively for those chosen of God before the world began (Eph 1:4). This righteousness is what God imputes to His people in the context of giving the life to believe in Christ. This puts them in a state called "Justification" and as a result they are eternally secure, in Christ. This is the gospel (Rom 1:16-17). All this takes place in such a way to show God as both a God of justice and a Savior. This is how grace reigns through righteousness (Rom 5:21)

We've been going through Joshua in class and I couldn't help but notice the tight spiritual parallels between Israel's failure to obey God's command to devote the pagan inhabitants of the land and their idols to utter destruction (the herem) and the SBC's tolerant pragmatic approach/assimilation of the philosophy of social justice. Unless they rescind and repent of their lack of fidelity to God's word, this kind of pragmatic compromise is going to be their downfall.

God isn't calling you to anything if Jesus didn't die for you and now you believe the gospel. The SBC and Buice promote a false gospel. “Everyone has turned away, all have become corrupt; there is no one who does good, not even one.” Psalm 53:3 This is what happens to men in all churches who depart from Jesus, the head of the church, and his teachings - to receive man made doctrines in place of Christ’s teachings - and add in the yeast of worldly wisdom...which is unspiritual and of the devil. There’s a fine way men have of setting aside the commands of God to uphold their own traditions...but those do not lead to life eternal.

OK, Josh, my brother from another mother, let’s look at this in earnest and see where it leads; “At whatever point the network or denomination fails to hold to Biblical positions, we must make the hard decision to separate…” “A Chasm is opening between the men who believe in their Bibles and those who are preparing for an advance upon the Scripture.” (Such advancement, by the way, is well under way already, and approaching the final thrust) “See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world and not according to Christ.” Well then if you’re citing these excellent passages it would seem that you may be prepared to pick up where the Protestant Reformation dropped the ball at the Council of Trent (1545-1563). Agents of the papacy at that event made the point that although the reform churches were talking the talk of “Sola Scriptura!” (The Bible Alone!) they were still observing the pope’s Sunday rather than the Biblical seventh day Sabbath and thus, by their actions, in contradiction to their own words, they still recognized the Roman Church as the “Mother Church” and were therefore nothing but the wayward children of said Church! And that same institution (Rome) is the church most frequently citing, and relying on, “Tradition” and “Natural Law” (speaking of philosophy) and even Karl Marx’s “The Common Good” rather than the Scriptures for its beliefs, assertions, doctrines, practices and authority! And who is it that prays to Mary and to the saints while keeping “relics” at every church building thus venerating the dead in direct opposition to the Bible which strictly forbids it? There are such people as Seventh Day Baptists, I believe, which still understand some of these things, and the early christian churches kept the Biblical Sabbath, o course, until pressured by Rome to observe Sunday. Otherwise one must rationalize away the most verbose of the Ten Commandments. Jesus and his disciples of course also observed the Sabbath. And therefore I ask, If not now, when? If not you, Who? Additionally there is the state of the dead, which the Bible makes crystal clear. The dead know nothing, feel nothing, etc., but are asleep until the resurrection. And so, are you going to remain hand-in-hand with the world which, with one voice, says, “Grandma is looking down on us from Heaven” and suchlike nonsense, or are you going to cite the Bible which stands in direct and polar opposition to all forms of such pagan spiritism? Are you going to listen to the warnings, “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and the cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies…Come out of her my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues” (Rev 18) or is it still just too “politically incorrect” to act and preach in accordance with Scripture because the world is, and many within your own ranks are, against it? It’s a tough question, I know, but this is a tough world, and a very serious situation! You’d have to face unending charges of “extremism” and “fundamentalism”! And well, Jesus was an “extremist fundamentalist” too, so you’d be in good company!

Amen brother, I was thinking the same things. The Churches have yielded to Rome and following their doctrines, not what is written in the Holy Word of God! Today’s Christians worry about socialism, but yet fail to realize that was what the early Church was founded on (Acts 2:44,45; Acts 4:34-37; Acts 5:1-10). Jesus also commanded that we are our brother’s keeper, give to those who ask, and to love your neighbor. How we should live is clearly stated in the Sermon on the Mount… Peace be unto you my brethren✝️🕊

@@Michael65429 Get behind me, Satan! Your words are in perfect lock-step with Rome, which makes the best case for liberty that I’ve ever seen, and then proceeds to flip it on its head and thoroughly and utterly negate it in favor of totalitarian rule and coercive redistribution! (see Rerum Novarum and Fratelli tutti) To say that Jesus advocated socialism (coercive redistribution by the state, and totalitarian rule) is like saying that, “Be fruitful and multiply” is to condone institutionalized, mass rape! Likewise, “Love thy neighbor” does NOT mean, “Pass laws negating thy neighbor’s property ownership, rob him, keep most of the spoils you and your cronies and redistribute some portion of them to the poor so as to justify your wholesale mass crimes. You’re turning a beautiful thing such as charity into a morbid, criminal absurdity! Such deception and reversal is why the Roman Church edited the Tenth Commandment down to four words instead of; “Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors house…” (That would include land and buildings, no?) “…thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife…” (That would include the family hierarchy and family sovereignty, no?) “..nor his manservant nor his maidservant…” (Labor force) “…nor his ass…” means of transportation) “…nor his ox…” (Means of production) “…nor anything that is thy neighbor’s” One cannot even so much as contemplate socialism (wholesale coercive redistribution under central planning) without pointedly and specifically violating each and every clause of the Tenth Commandment! If you believe that Jesus advocates for socialism (coercive redistribution) in any way whatsoever, then you are most definitely NOT my brother. Rather, that would put you in perfect harmony with Rome. I am quite familiar, by the way, with the coy, Romish, Jesuit and sociopathic tactic of swooping in to heartily “agree” with Christians, and then setting about to completely negate every precept of Christ and every clause of His word. So don’t bother to double-down, or to “lovingly correct” me. I know the tactics of the devil well enough to know them when I see them. No, Jesus is all about liberty, not your twisted and corrupted versions of “charity”. “But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continue the therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” James 1:25 “So speak ye, and do so, as they that shall be judged by the law of liberty.” James 2:12 The “free World” such as came about after the Reformation was very much a product of the Reformation (“Sola Scriptura!”), whereas the various notions and flavors of top-down, hierarchical rule and central control of resources including manufactured goods, are very Roman in nature and character, and are indeed anti-Christ! I will add that both systems are admittedly “Christ-centered”. One loves the Word and seeks to bring it into the heart and embrace it and spread it, while the other focuses on Christ as a means of negating His precepts and bringing Christ’s people into perdition, taking Christ’s glory and authority for themselves, for the glory and power of men, thus making a mockery of Christ!

When preachers in the church starts telling all of the white people that you are racist even if you didn't know you are racist. And telling all the black people they have been oppressed. You are no longer sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. This type of stuff has no place in the church and it is only dividing the church. There is a whole lot more that can be said but this brakes it down to what social justice is about. In the church we are all Christians and are equal at the foot of the cross. Their is only one justice and that is God's justice and we are to leave all of that to him. Sorry it also goes with women preachers and accepting the lgbtq into the church as normal practice.

Why do you think all is not well within the evangelical community? I see churches all over that are pastorless, and if they get pastors they do not last long. Not just SBC churches but independent Baptist churches as well. The three largest Baptist churches in our area were pastorless for quite some time, and one of them still is and these churches are not vrowing. If you look and one appears to be growing, then on closer inspection. You find no its not really growing just people leaving o e Baptist church going to another. I think God is trying to tell us something but the pastors are hanging on to their seminary and bible college teaching and will not allow God to speak to them through his word. They want what ever doctrine their denomination teaches. I want the denomination Jesus was a part of, Scripture says we ought to walk just as he walked. So was Jesus Baptist, Methodist, Pentecostal, Assembly of God, Church of God, Catholic, Mormon, Jehovah's Witness? There are o er 30,000 different denominations and belief systems out there which one was Jesus part of. The answer is none of these. Jesus was a Jewish man and he practiced the Jewish faith. He kept the sabbath, he celebrated Pasach, not easter, he kept the law all of it not just the 10 commandments. He celebrated all Gods feasts. The church today says we are to keep the ten commandments but then they say but not the fourth commandment. Why? Because Jesus or God changed it to Sunday. where in scripture does it say God changed it scripture and verse please and thank you. Mans teaching says it was changed, Gods word never says this. Mans teaching says Jesus died on good Friday arose on Sunday, this teaching makes Jesus a liar. The Pharisees asked Jesus for a sign Jesus said " There shall be no sign given, except for the sign of Jonas the prophet, for as No as was in the belly of the. Whale for three days and three nights so shall the sin of man be in the grave three days AND three nights. Friday evening to Sunday morning is not three days and three nights no matter how you add it it doesn't work. They teach Jesus rose on Sunday but Scripture never says this, what it says is when they got there he was already gone. They teach the law does not apply to us today. Jesus said I do not come teaching my own doctrine but the doctrine of the one who sent me. Who sent Jesus? God. What does the Bible say Gods doctrine is? Psalms says For I give you good doctrine, forsake he not my LAW. The word law in Hebrew is Torah. The Torah is the first five books of the bible which contains ALL of God's law. What is the bibles definition of sin? 1 John 3:4 Sin is transgression of the law. Scripture also says If you love me keep my commandments. Also it says He who says he knows him and does not keep his commandments, is a LIAR and the TRUTH is not in him. Scripture says all LIARS have there place in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone. These are just a few things I see in the church today, these are not MT words they are Gods words. Satan began twisting and changing and adding g to and taking from Gods word right from the very beginning. Do you think he stopped right there? No he did not he has had thousands of years to work his way into bible colleges and seminarys to corrupt the teachings to lead the people as try from what Gods word really says. The closer we get to the end the harder he works to deceive. The bible says MA Y false prophets will arise in the last days. I believe many are false prophets today they just don't do ow it because they just teach what they are taught. They search TBE scriptures but only to prove preconceived teachings but not what the bible actually says. This is what I belie e God is doing today he is trying to shake the pastors and congregation awake to see the truth but they aren't waking up. I have tried to wake up several churches he's but they have all rejected it even though they have seen it I black and white and have agreed with the teaching of the truth but won't accept it. Hitler once said if you tell a lie lo g enough it becomes truth. Wake up chi!dren..

I, too, see liberal agendas all over the Bible, like the bits that say to help the oppressed, the poor, the fatherless and the widow. I admire your determination to walk away from such progressive ideologies.

That's a lame strawman, and you know it. He directly addressed the false ideologies that he took issue with, and this had nothing to do with it.

@@7F0X7 fair enough. It's not a gospel issue in that it's not salvific in any way. But a saved Christian wants to do what the Bible says to do. Not as a work, but as fruit of our salvation. So why are whole entire churches ignoring the bits of the Bible that say to correct oppression and take care of the poor?

@@MrShadowy1 Because CRT presupposes whites are racist and are oppressing blacks, which is a flat lie.

@@7F0X7 I don't think you're as familiar with what CRT is as you think, especially if you automatically equate literally any move toward racial justice with CRT. if you're not getting your information from FOX News you're getting it from someone who is.

@@MrShadowy1 Social justice has nothing to do with Biblical justice, get over it.
