But this is the fist kit I have seen not use butter bolts for the rag joint :) Fun fact, the throttle piston on that carb is also slightly wider than the basic nt carb (more air). At least the one on my YD100 is, I'm guessing they are the same.

One thing I can add when opening up a new engine- check that bevel gear, or main drive gear- the small o e that meshes with the clutch assembly, evry one I've ever gotten had to be pulled out and put back I straight because it was so out of true- very crooked and that makes for some seriously nasty vibrations. Also, cylinder should always be cleaned up and ports at least chamfered, theres always casting shit hangin around in there that will reduce w the life of your first top end by at least half! Definitely worth the time it takes.

The split in the exhaust on some g4 cylinder is not for back pressure it's a bridge to help support the rings so they don't snag because the port is wider...

Not as big as the YD100, but cheaper and abundant parts is a bigger deal to me than some extra power. i'm a hefty dude, so i may need to get a bigger sprocket... but that's for when i have the build well under way :D I dont think you ship to canada yet, eh?

With my bike when I was riding it one day I noticed that it would start and run for a bit then stop, I had earlier messed with the spark plug and forgot to take the tool off and put the spark cap back on. It was running off of compression alone and without thinking I grabbed the tool and burned my hand.

G4 is just the cylinder not the whole engine, I love G4 cylinder it's best 1 imo,

I agree. When this kit came out a year ago, it was sold as the G4 through some sellers. I believe the first batch just had a bad oil seal install which destroyed the engine and magneto. It has been fixed since then, and I prefer this engine now. Don't even feel like I have to retard the timing. Thanks for watching.

Thanks bud ! I like certain features but of coarse good seems to come with some bad it would seem! To me I would install a spring and possibly a new magneto, then maybe then it will be a decent engine!

Don't get me wrong, like I said in the video and in the description, it is a good engine with some good upgrades. There is some good torque and top speed. If you want to put another $15 into it, sure! It is worth it, bit for most novice and new builders, I do not recommend this engine. If you are in the market, I can let you know where to get them, but once again... Buyer beware

Hello, I recently purchased an high performance air filter and a CNC velocity stack for my NT speed carburetor. The bike runs and idles but every time I give it gas and try to get to the mid-high RPMs sometimes it just wants to bog right back down and come to a stop and then suddenly it revs up really high then keeps bogging till it stops. I don’t get it could you please help?

@@SouthernCustomCC if you are using a video editor look for something called "audio normalize" It will take the audio and make it all the same volume. I use Shotcut for videos, super easy to learn.
