I’m new to the motorized bicycle world - regarding the Minarelli Vertical Cylinder kit, I have some questions: 1. What motor does the Minarelli Vertical Cylinder kit fit on? 2. How much does the Minarelli Vertical Cylinder kit cost, and do you also sell the complete motor with the Minarelli kit installed? If so, how much is it? 3. I plan on mounting the motor on my Cannondale aluminum-frame road bike, which has a down tube 51mm in diameter, and a seat tube 32mm in diameter (the two frame tubes to which the motor would mount). Would these dimensions present a motor mounting problem? 4. Dumb question of the month: my Cannondale has a 3-chainwheel front (bottom bracket) gearset, and a 7-cog rear wheel hub gearset. Has anyone successfully mounted a gasoline motor in the Vee of the tubes, and still managed to use the derailleur gears of the front (bottom bracket) gears and/or the rear wheel hub gears? Thanks - your videos are the best on the subject on KZbin. Bart Brown

Great and informative video I have just ordered an Italjet KR cylinder for the same vertical engine. Will it be able to run with the dellorto 16mm sha - is it ok to run Stock clutch just with a stronger spring
@kjsmolik4 жыл бұрын
Highly recommend using a Mikuni vm20 and a stock clutch is ok with stronger spring.

How does the 70cc your building compare to a gt90 case induction 50mm sleeve cylinder?
@smolikperformance38674 жыл бұрын
Not even a comparison. Minarelli has superior ports and quality to any china doll cylinder.

I do like your setup. Has it been tested on a dyno? I am curious about it's performance...mainly its top speed? ( I know top speed isn't everything ) I am interested in it's performance, I would Not want to buy a beautifully designed , Non China-doll, that does not outperform anything China has to offer, as far as top ends on 66-69.4cc motors. Tell me... what makes your motor setup better? Aside from its obvious better looks.

I personally dont like china dolls. I just wanna know I'm getting the performance and quality that does not compare to a China doll. To see if it's worth the investment.

@@jonfuller5764 yes it has been tested on the dyno once. Even with a poor tune it made 8 hp and 6 ftlbs. It is definitely better performing and will outlast anything china 100×. The cylinder itself is a real yamaha performance scooter cylinder. Its cast iron so it lasts for 10s of thousands of miles, and is designed to withstand 11k rpms constantly.

I have been building 2 stroke scoot motors for years .. never seen one built without any form of lube .. first run it will be dry and score the crap out of the barrel .. maybe just an oversight but not good in a tutorial which others will copy ...
@smolikperformance38674 жыл бұрын
Fair. All cylinders come prelubed.
@Bigade514 жыл бұрын
@@smolikperformance3867 thats good but still no lube on little end bearing or wrist pin .. also maybe wise using a torque wrench on head bolts to ensure even pressure on all studs..
@smolikperformance38674 жыл бұрын
@@Bigade51 yes, bearings and wristpins come prelubed as well. Torquring is something I do take for granted as I go by "hand tight". Never used a torque wrench for these engines
