Hi Dirk, I used the Capri build as a comparison to show the different lengths of front bodyposts for each different builds. The bodypost extentions are used for the various amounts of different shells that could be used with different chassis 👍👍

Hi Peter, looks like you are making excellent progress on both creations! Both are looking most spectacular! You've made a couple of beasts! Pity about the sag in the suspension, you're just gonna have to add some preload if possible or get stiffer sprigs but I'm sure you're on to it! All the best my friend! 😎🙌👍

Hello Mark, as I mentioned to Addam earlier, I used the Capri build as a comparison to show the difference between using the 2 different sets of short bodyposts for each build as the bonnets are of different lengths. After filming this segment, I removed the 4 shocks and drained out the oil and replaced it with 900 wt oil but after putting them back on the chassis, it would appear that the internal springs are just not up to the job of handling the overall weight of the chassis and accessories so I have ordered another 2 pairs of beefier shocks that have an outer collar than can be wound down to make the outer springs stiffer. I will add a bumpstop just to ensure that the steering still operates correctly just as I have with the current shocks. Just a few steps away now with the Capri being finally completed 👍👍👍 Thankyou for your continued support throughout this build ✌️

I'm racking my brains trying to work out why I have ignored the Kamtec Transit for so long, but now I'm glad I did; whatever I might have built, rhis is gonna be better : )

Hi Del, Thank You ever so much for your kind comment about my spectacular Ford Capri shell. I tried to keep within the lines of which body parts should be in black giving it the Old Skool vibes. The Kamtec Transit is also available in 205mm wheelbase for the CW-01 chassis and 250mm wheelbase as well 👍 This XL version is 295mm wheelbase and I am looking forward to completing this One-of-a-kind Custom build 👍👍

Hi Craig, I used the Capri build as a comparison to show the difference between each of the front bodyposts and the desired look that I was going for. My single brain cell has to work overtime when it comes to thinking up different themes for the various types of bodyshells that I have 😆😝😖 I've got an extra special 6x6 cut-and-shut bodyshell coming up after the Beetle Convertible project 🤔👍😝

Hey great update young man. Both projects look like they will be epic! You are going to have your own version of a Mad Van which will be cool. Hi Pete, I'm a few steps away from completing the Capri shell and about 5 steps away from finishing the Transit Wideboy build 👍 I've ordered another 2 pairs of beefier shocks for the Transit and will add a bumpstop just to make sure that the steering still operates safely 👍 Won't be long now and you will be able to take them for a test drive ✌️✌️

Body mounts can be the most difficult part of a custom build. I know the Mater build on the Wild Willy chassis it took quite a bit if messy around to get them to work with the body and mount it securely! Looks like you got it all figured out and it looks pretty slick with the body sitting on it! Unfortunate about the shocks but I am sure you will get those figured out as well. @@AddamsPlayground Hi Addam, every other aspect of the build always falls into place just as you would expect it to be but the bodyposts and making the correct holes in the shell are entirely on a different level. I used the Capri build as a comparison with the 2 different pairs of front posts that could be used for both builds seeing as the Van has a short stubby bonnet (hood) and the Capri has a long bonnet (hood). I dismantled the shocks and re-filled them with 900 wt oil only to find out that the internal springs are not up to the job so I have ordered 2 pairs of stiffer shocks that have a collar on that you can Wind down to make the springs stiffer. I will, however, add a bumpstop using the shock pliers that you sent me 👍 Please ensure that you also have a great week ahead 🇺🇲🇬🇧🇺🇲✌️🤘

Both projects coming on great Sir!! Loving both of the bodies dude,lovely job on the transit arches to. Lots of work involved in getting those body posts properly aligned and mounted,but i can see that you have it all worked out nicely. @@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC Hi James, Many Thanks for your ongoing support with my One-of-a-kind Custom projects. Its a shame that the shocks are not man enough for the job as I think they look awesome so I have ordered a couple of pairs of beefier shocks with an external collar that can be wound down to make the springs stiffer 👍 The rear posts have been removed and sent off to be redesigned with cross braces added for strength to hold up the beautiful Transit bodyshell 😎 Next vid will be template-making-time which should be quite entertaining seeing as the only templates I've ever made have been for Windows and not a whole shell 🤣😝😆 What could possibly go wrong? 😆😝🤣😎🤔😁🤪😖😂

​@@cw-01creations46Always watching buddy! 👍 I've had good success with the JKRC shocks in the past. I've got them on my runner beetle, and my custom Clod. They have fairly firm/stiff springs and adjustable collars..... and are available in a wide range of colours, and as we all know, colour is a major factor in performance right?! 😉 😅 Looking forward to seeing the template video man. I've just finished porkers mud blaster restoration, and am about to start rebuilding the manta ray (which is one poorly buggy) Hopefully I will then get a chance to start the camper or bubble arch body project..... and with any luck it may have stopped raining by then so I can get them painted to! @@yodadarksideGreenHawksRC The majority of my custom builds are wearing JK-RC shocks and with a couple of turns on the collars there doesn't need to be a bumpstop on the shafts but I will add a little one for good measure 👍 Coloured shocks are very important for a colour-coded build not that you will see them under the Transit shell 😆😝😆 and will add an extra 10 BHP overall 😎😎 Got some time off in February so will make an appointment with you to drop off all of your bits-n-bobs I have collected 👍👍👍

Hey Peter, a great catch up on what you’ve been able to achieve outside of those pesky sales ! 😂😊😂 I really like both the Capri and the Transit, both very worthy classic Fords 😊😊 i assume that with the body posts being made, you’re going to have them braced too, to help them be stable and not wobble too much? Hey I did notice that the Wideboy front end was looking a bit drooped at the front, I can see now what you mean, the weight at the front being the main factor. Like any full size customisation of a car, beefing up the shocks is sometimes a must, so the Transit is going to need beefier shocks, if it’s going to be the get away vehicle of choice 😂😊😂😊awesome video bud, enjoyed that. Hi John, the Capri build is nearly finished and it won't be long until the Transit is done as well 👍 Now you can see what I meant about the current shock absorbers not being tough enough for the task that is required of them. You will be pleased to hear that I have ordered another 2 pairs of beefier shocks for the job and I will add a bumpstop to ensure that they are up for the job of handling the weight 👍👍👍
