What a beautiful tool. Unfortunately I don't have a machine shop. I have a welder, angle grinder, vise and big hammer. I also enjoy watching the building of elegant tools. Good job

Fantastic video here is my thought let me know if it works 1.Take an Old steel plate 2. Measure the breadth of Friction plate groove. 3. Depending upon the friction plate groove weld a same breadth steel rod the old clutch plate

Really enjoying your videos!! If you want to avoid a burr being pulled up on the edge of your stock when you machine it, travel clockwise around the edge of the part so that the cutting force of the endmill is directed towards the center of the stock.

At 13:58 it looks like your weld is a bit short of the corner. Try pointing the mig nozzle directly intro the groove at about a 45 degree angle. I also find it helps to weld at lower amperage and make small circles to tie the two pieces together better. Also always trim the end of your mig wire before every fresh weld; it will prevent the harsh starts and splatter.
