Your instructional videos are the best for G shocks. I find it ironic that this is the best selling G-Shock ever made, yet many folks don’t know how to use it for all the functions that it is capable of, and... it is one of the hardest G shocks to read with respect to simply telling time. I’m glad that You chose the most legible model you could find; just so the viewers could read the time on the watch. As always, you set the standard for G-SHOCK instructional videos.

The funny thing and the reason for my comment is that for an advertised 'tough watch', the owner's booklet makes it sound as if it's made of tissue paper and fairy floss! Anyway.... I have one bought from China for my son, it has only 2 dots between 8 n 9 but A Light is working and Adjust/Mode/Forward test is also working.......they must have watched your channel to improvise :)

I like the dial colors on the GA 100 but I agree it is nice that the 110 has lume. Good grief, this watch is bigger than my head! :) You possess great knowledge on your reviews. I like Casio's and it's crazy that there are fakes. Great point of mention and explaining how to spot a fake. Very helpful! Does Silvertime carry the MRG?

Also if you think this watch is big, wait for my next video, this will seem like a toy next to that 😄

I already commented on this video but had one more thing to add. Trying to adjust the “ OVER “ dial it wouldn’t reset to zero on the dial, after attempting to set it a few times I just skipped it. But continuing to follow your tutorial it righted itself after testing the LAP function and now the dial sits a zero. Thanks again

Great tutorial. I figured they didn’t bothered with allowing the button to go back while viewing World Time maybe because the watch let you go backward only when you are about to reset date & time. But still it would’ve been nice for the makers to let the wearer view world time back and forth just for its sake.

I have a fake GA-110HR with full functions, even the auto light and 3 buttons test that you mentioned fakes wouldn't do...it works. However the 9 oclock section shows only 2 dots instead of 3, and no luminous on hour and minutes hand. So it's obviously a fake... I'm Surprised at how well they can make fake copies of G-Shocks these days

Notice how the sub dial starts ticking after pressing down on the 3 buttons..well the fake does that too. It even shows 5082.82 after pressing the forward button like you did at 34:34 Update: So these fakes are apparently called 1:1 copy original and they're very popular here in South East Asia. They function the same as the original and can usually be bought at 1/3 of the original price. The only thing they cannot 100% copy is the built quality and water resistant rating.

@@WatchGeek That is true, I forgot to mention that the crystal used on the fake is just a cheap plastic that scratches immediately as soon as my blade touches it and the watch feels very light compared to what the original offers. G-Shocks are renowned as one of the toughest watch for a reason. Simply search up "Toughest or most durable watches" anywhere and a G-Shock will definitely show up on the list. The fakes can't even come close to that... They're just ruining the brand name for G-Shock. Anyone with no experience on G-Shocks will have a bad impression on it when they purchase their first "G-shock"

Amen to that! I couldn't figure out how to get the day and date to show at the same time, 6:20 shows it with one press of the lower right button. That was driving me nuts! I wish the LED screens were backlit instead of the weak little LED at the bottom of the face though, that's next to useless.

And it doesn't show SLT or IST too. Or how to setup UTC+5.30? Update: Yeah I did it by manually adjusting time. But very hard to set seconds exactly by manual method.

Awesome! The problem KZbin wide is the word ‘input’ when explaining units of measurement. The phrase should be ‘whatever you have in mind’. The indicators simply keep track of time…we don’t input units into the watch, we impose units onto the timer results.

My ga-110 is a little bit different than the one in the video. For instance, mine has white lettering and no red ring around the speedometer. Its crazy that it has a speedometer. Also, the background of the digitals on mine are black. I've wanted a G-Shock for decades and finally got one. I'm legitimately proud to have this watch on my wrist. That may seem weird but, when you go through life with little to nothing, its a big deal.

I recently purchased this and I love it to death, I can't stop staring at the watch. The model I have uses the negative display which I prefer. I like things that look just a little different. The only thing I don't like about this is that the illumination could be a lot better. In my opinion Casio could have used full illumination or the hands glow in the dark. I say this quite a bit, but Timex makes cheaper watches that have better lum than may others that cost much more money. In all I purchased the watch knowing about the lum and that did not stop me from wanting the watch.
