First of all congratulations to you. I think decision should be based on location which must be near to your house as designations are same for both banks. Choose BOI if you are ok with transfers, work pressure, career growth, working hours etc and if you are happy with working in rural bank then remain in it as other things also matters i.e family, work life balance, relaxation, less workload, less working hours etc So choose any one bank as both are equal in pay and designations but consider above factors while choosing as per your requirements.

If for extra 10-12k , you are ready to sacrifice your daily extra 2 hrs time, ready to sell life insurance/mutual fund/credit card, ready to tackel the argumanting urban customer, ready to sacrifice some respect of general public of your bank's service area, ready to sacrifice the family type environment in side your work place, Ready to take more Risk then join BOI. Other wise RRB is better. And about promotion in 30 years of your service you will be easily get promoted upto scale-4 and if possible to scale-5 in RRB ,if you complete Jaiib & caiib , promotion will be faster in rrb . Where as you will be easily promoted to scale-5 in BOI, and if you are among the top 30-40 performer in you bank and good in boot licking then you can get promotion to scale-6 and 7.

And where you're going to be posted ! You seem happy with the current staff at RRB. Then why to opt for a change ?? Moreover promotion will be quite easy here compare to BOI, as most of the aspirants leave rrb at some point of time (selection at somewhere else) . (Here Seniority too matters for promotion ! ) Cherish this moment ! And don't go for something you're not sure of.
