The terms of the deal are absurd. Who ever negotiated for saru botched the job. An investor does not get the capital investment paid out,they get a share of the profits and share of the control of the entity. If the funds are repaid then they don't get a profit share or share of control. Saru has very poor marketing expertise because we are in a golden era and are failing to capitalise on international sales of merchandise.

1. If you become an investor, you implicitly assume a proportion of the risk. Q: What is the extent of risk Ackerley will assume? Nil risk, it appears to me. 2. If this deal goes sour, like the All Blacks' and the English Premiership deals did, we might have to desist from using the Springbok brand intellectual property. Which conceivably means all promotional merchandise, all rights to the Springbok emblem on not only rugby jerseys, but for áll SA sports teams? 3. The valuation is wildly out of whack. 4. The indefinite term of the deal is insane. 5. Giving away as much of the board representation as Ackerley demands is also suicidal.
