why is the mega man 3 soundtrack so much better than all the others? its like every piece has this sense of melancholic urgency that none of the other games ever get quite right. its the only mega man soundtrack that makes me emotional and i cant really put my finger on why. edit: (i also wanna say you did an amazing job of putting together/executing all the crazy countermelody shit with just two hands. youre an amazing musician!)

For some reason I believe that Mega man 3 had the most ❤️ put into it. The art, the layout, the music. Every other 8 bit Mega man seemed to be rushed (especially mm6 which doesn’t seem like it was really complete. Most noticeable flaw is the charged shot sound)

Gabb... you have brilliantly captured what it meant to me playing these video games... Mega Man wasn’t just a great game and story, filled with good characters and dare I say emotional plot, it features the music that would be stuck in my head every day in elementary school... It would be stuck in my head long after, you just do such a great job with each intonation and your independence really is good! These songs are hard to play and you pull it off man!! This music inspired me to be a musician even if it was a minor role in that process, it’s left an impression on me and obviously so many others. Bravo

I am personally more satisfied with my performance on Mega man 3. I must say first that I much prefer the music of Mega man 3, even if I consider those of Megaman 2 also very successful. Although I have edited and posted the videos of Mega man 2 after those of Mega man 3, I actually filmed them a week before, with lots of flaws, such as sheets music visible under the piano. The piano performance is also more approximate, with the exception of the intro and stage select, which I re-recorded the same day as Megaman 3. In both cases, I am not satisfied with the sound recording. I would like to re-record them one day with a better microphone. Meanwhile, I am very happy that you like these versions! :)

In 2018 I was really burned out from working retail. I had no education. I decided to quit my job, sell most of my belongings and move and start a game technology bachelor at a university. I was listening to this medley when I was washing out my old appartment, and the piece at 24:15 puts me right back there and hits me right in the feels. It was a pivotal moment in my life where I jumped into the unknown and made my life better because of it. I'm playing around with the melody on my keyboard these days 😊
