I can watch this performance 1000 times and never get sick of it. I dont know how they give so much energy on stage and be functioning for the next month. They are master performance artists and I really love that they treat every stage with utmost respect and passion. NO-ONE does it like BTS

People talk about how good BTS is at performing, and how great their concerts are. But I don't think anyone can grasp how GREAT they are. They left everything they had on that stage, and then some. Plus, they got to perform this in front of ALL their peers and other fans, because like you said, this was an Award Show! Their Charm, Charisma, Passion, Swag, and Love for Performing & Music comes through naturally, honestly, and sincerely. BTS will always be the Standard for me. They are just on another level. Littel bit of helpful info: Unlike most western award shows, these use a combination of live performances and pre recorded video packages (Jimin's solo dance was the only solo dance preformed live as far as I know). MMA is Melon Music Awards, MAMA is Mnet Asian Music awards. When I first became ARMY, I remember seeing them at the Grammy's, one of the first live performances I saw by them. I don't watch the Grammy's but when I saw they had performed there of course I had to see it. All of their appearances and performances are spectacular, but then I watch the Asian award shows and well.......the Grammy's and other Western award shows are tiny in comparison. BTS is very good at making you PART of the performance rather than just making you a spectator. Always have to prep. myself to watch this performance, it's that intense! 💙💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🐳♾ P.S. Deities represented through the solo's: V-Apollo Jin-Aries Jimin-Diana Suga-Hephaestus JK-Posioden J-hope-Zues RM-Dionysus The lights represent the constellation known as the crown of Dionysus, the leopards are the mount of Dionysus, the staff that RM carries decorated with grape vines is known as the thyrsus.

little correction, while jimin solo was the only one where we saw the same thing that was happening live, the other members also came on stage and performed for the audience but what we see in the video was the prerecorded one which was also shown on the big screens there.

And actually you pronounced it really well.☺ In their solo performances everyone represents an ancient Greek god. V: Apollo god of sun Jin: Ares or Athena gods of war(I believe mostly Athen cause the Trojan horse was her idea and Jin is standing on it) Jimin: Artemis godess of the moon Suga:Hephaestus god of fire and blacksmithing JK: Poseidon god of sea(and generally water) Jhope:Jeus (king of gods)god of skies and lightning Rm:Dionysus god of entertaintment and drinking Actually Dionysus was a human hero and because of his great deeds was reborn as a god. The song basically talks about their humble past and how then their were reborn as gods of entertainment adored by many people. They put the same energy and performance at their concerts. They are absolutely amazing. I have been to 2 of their concerts and I have said the same! I am a 56 year old ARMY and they still give me the same happiness no matter how many times I have heard their songs. Well actually I only listen to BTS. When my kids are around sometimes they want to hear their music….Not with these ears….LOL I have just started watching your reactions and they are so awesome. I see that you are an ARMY for sure! This is the ULTIMATE live performance. I've watched this so many times - probably at least once a week - and it never, ever gets old. They're incredible. I'm so glad you were finally able to see this. Your reaction to Jimin's solo was so much like mine the first time I saw it. He's such a beautiful, lyrical dancer. I've seen lots of stills of this dance, and he never, ever gets into an ugly position. His dance lines are perfect. After they finished "Dionysus," at least Jimin and Jungkook staggered off stage and needed oxygen. They left it al out on the stage, just like always. I love these guys. They blow my mind.

Every new ARMY should watch this performance because just like you , they’re left speechless, and it solidifies the bond with BTS . You cannot not be impressed with this group after watching something quite like this. It is EPIC. What’s good about your reaction, is that you have quite a bit of background of BTS, so you could tell which songs were being featured during their solo performances thus appreciating the show even more. Yes, you are right, I’m 55 years old, and in my lifetime, I have NEVER seen anything like this. I doubt any other live performance will ever beat this. Thank you for this reaction. They ARE too good for the Grammys, they would and do put all others to shame, we have accepted such poor performances from everyone ... I agree it is the best live performance of any group. I have been to over 100 concerts (yeah Im old lol) of all genres and BTS surpasses any and all of them. We are so lucky to be able to see these men do what they were born to do! Not gonna lie: As a West Indian Army Mom with our Boys since 2016? LOVE your reactions and Yes to Anna Arwen. Never get tired of seeing BTS Army reacting to the 2019 MMA's for the first time. Personally? It is my fave MMA performance. Gabbsi is such a beautiful woman....inside n out. She is never afraid to be vulnerable to her subs...cry if she needs to....and her self awareness/intuition is off the charts. Have totally enjoyed going down the BTs Rabbit Hole with her. Been there from the beginning. So I shall ask it of you and your followers: If you had 24 hrs...to spend with ONE member of BTS. Who would it be? And why? My answer? Don't forget my age - 55 yrs old. As a Mother..my Gorgeous son is close in age to Jung Kook. So always rooted for him as the youngest member and watched Kookie grow in confidence while his older brothers nurtured him. He is my Bias. Hands down. HOWEVER? I would chose Suga. why? Well...not sure if his IQ matches RM's. Doesn't matter. Little known fact: Suga understands and speaks English as well as RM. Not sure if you can access earlier vids of them...but in more than one earlier vid (Yrs ago)...RM would sort of 'condescend/speak down' in English to Suga who would match him. Word for word. Just his personality. What HE had to over come. Going AGAINST his parent's wishes which is HUGE in S.Korean culture? The video showing him seeing his Mother - for the 1st time in the audience - which brought him to his knees? Bowing while crying? Beyond deep. Being a producer for many English Artists and one of the most prolific Song writing Artists (I've ever heard of) - is why he's always falling asleep. Dude grabs on average 4 hrs/night? And literally - writes/come up with.....a new SONG. Every day. There is a vid showing his members blown away upon hearing that. Point is: He is the most reserved. Does not trust easily (same). Highly intelligent. Wise beyond his yrs 💜💜

I love your reaction - I had the same. I also appreciate all your reactions as your love for these young men shines through. For me, RM with Persona, Jimin's solo and all seven with Dionysus were standouts of this show. No one has ever seen a performance like this because there isn't one. Certainly the West could never pull off a show such as this. BTS is the gold, diamond and platinum standard. There isn't an artist in my lifetime of 63 years that performed like this. Kings. Legends. It was so refreshing to see you react to the individual songs and actually recognize them all and appreciate all. Mikrokosmos and some of the individual performances (like JK in water) were pre-recorded I've been told, as well as the part with the horses. You know what, I am 66 years old and have also seen A Lot of shows and live performances. This is THE Most Epic Performance I have Ever Seen in my Lifetime! The solo performances represented BTS songs, but also different Greek Gods (like Fire, Water, etc.) BTS are amazing as 7 and so far are amazing as solo artists as well. I do hope they gather again as BTS when they complete their military duties. Thanks so much for reacting to this!

I remember being such in shock watching this performance live on KZbin whilst it was happening and how overwhelmed I felt too afterwards. It's still one of if not my favourite BTS live performance. They also won every single Daesang (Grand Prize) award that night too, which was the first time any artist had done that. It was an incredible night. I'm so glad you knew most of the songs they performed too! I think knowing the songs makes this performance/show even more enjoyable to watch. You should check out Dionysus on it's own when you get the chance. It's the last song on Map of the Soul: Persona album and basically alludes to the artistic theme of the next album (Map of the Soul: 7). The Ancient Greek references were all based on that song.

Since you'll see in the video titles, it's no spoiler, but they did N.O. and We Are Bulletproof pt 2 and it was :O (in 2020 they did I Need U in another Song Festival, don't remember which, KBS, SBS... I LOVE in their performances and concerts when they aren't afraid to do their oldest songs, they are proud of every single one of them, unlike other artists...)

They did a solo performance solo performance by each member accompanied by their songs since their debut in 2013 to the latest song in 2019. They appear with a different concept, representing the 7 gods that have always existed in Greek mythology. • V / Taehyung ( Representatives of Apollo ) = Apollo is the sun god, who is often depicted carrying archery and a bow. V did a solo dance so charismatic as if he was a dancer from the sky accompanied by the song No More Dream. The look with curly hair. • Jin ( Representatives of Athena ) = The God of Justice accompanied by the song Danger. Jin appeared using a horse pushed by the back dancers, and his performance ended by "extracting" the soul from the horse he was riding. • Jimin ( Representatives of Artemis ) = moon god, the twin of Apollo the Sun God represented by V, there is Jimin who does a solo dance with the song I NEED U. The clothes are all white and the movements are very smooth • Suga / Yoongi ( Representatives of Hephaestus ) = God of fire, With the song Fire, Suga looks very swag, Suga's nature which is savage towards haters and also his excellent ability in music looks very suitable • Jungkook ( representative of Poseidon ) = Water God. Her appearance felt so soft because it was accompanied by the song Save Me. • J-Hope / Hoseok ( Representatives of Zeus) = God of thunder, Her appearance was accompanied by the song Fake Love complete with a stage full of lasers. J-Hope appeared so energetic • RM / Namjoon ( Representative of Dionysus ) = God of wine, Accompanied by a song with a similar title, RM, who appeared wearing a blonde hair style, looked so charismatic swinging a thyrus stick.

Thank you for the great reaction. This performance was indeed the best performance ever. The hardwork that the members put into this is respectable. I would also like to point out that during this performance there was a small mistake in the handling of props which could have lead to an accident but jimin handled it like the true professional he is. The song/instrumental playing around 5:27 was from 'Intro: What Am I To You?'. It is a solo by RM from their album Dark & Wild. The song playing at 41:15 was 'NO', which is the title track of their 2nd mini album. Both are really good and underrated songs.

*That's* why 2019 is EPIC! 🤘😄🤘 Speaking of the Scammys... Did you know that when the pandemic prevented them from travelling in 2020 they rebuilt the entire Grammy stage and the red carpet in South Korea just so they could perform a shortened version (Grammys gave them a ridiculously short time restraint) of Dynamite? They even added more "stages" to it! So yeah, the Scammys definitely couldn't do this! 😏 (Also, don't worry about the horses. Some scenes were pre-recorded for CGI or safety reasons; the horse-scene included. What you saw here was the show as it was shown on TV. 😉)

Loved this reaction. The way you wordlessly replayed that last bit 3 times - I did the same thing when I first saw this, multiple times, lol. Their stage presence and charisma are unmatched - just look at the intensity in their eyes at the end. Now we know that this 2019 MMA was so huge because they were planning to do their "chapter two" in 2020 and, therefore, weren't expecting to be at the 2020-and-onward award shows. So they truly pulled out all the stops on this performance and left everything on that stage, with the final image of them sitting on their thrones like the kings they are. But then the pandemic happened, cenceling their 'final' world tour and throwing all their plans in the air. As it turned out, though, in that 2-year "delay", their prestige value shot up even more, like 1000%, what with their representing the South Korean president as envoys, and being invited to the White House; and of course, all the Billboard records with Dynamite (popularity blowing up globally on an even bigger scale than before) and the Grammy run stemming from that. Their journey as a group is really so interesting, and has been from day one. Oh, I also saw a fan cam of this whole set and you can see that everything was live except for part of Persona, Mikrokosmos, JK's water dance and the horses on stage. Every member performed their solo bits live (in black outfits) but only the pre-recorded white-outfit version was televised. And Jimin had five minutes (tops!) to change costumes and reframe his whole mindset, transforming from an ethereal angel into a jaded Greek god. This performance is heavily referencing the BU, so you won't be able to fully grasp everything until you check that out, including theories and everything. Many of their performances are connected to it and even some of their Japanese songs, like Blood, Sweat & Tears JPN Ver. I fully recommend watching that, along with I Need U Original Ver (it's a longer version of the mv), Butterfly Prologue Mix, Fake Love Extended Ver, Epilogue: Young Forever and some analysis videos that could help you connect everything and actually understand the timeline. There are some trigger warnings there tho, so be careful. The part with the horses was prerecorded, and so was everything else up until the actual Dionysus performance. Their individual dances were prerecorded as well. That's how they handle longer performances at award shows cause otherwise there's not much freedom to fully go all out. I fully recommend reacting to this song and other side tracks from the Map of the Soul, Love Yourself and WINGS series. Also make sure to watch all of the MAMA and MMA performances.

That was the turning point for me too and the moment I realized I had to see them live at least once in my life, and that probably nothing I will ever watch after that, will match. Life-changing. The last time I felt something remotely close was when I was a kid and saw video performance of MJ live. And I will not compare the 2 but this is the moment I've put them at least at the same level of legacy and impact in terms of performing acts. No one will ever do it like them.

I have watched this probably 20 times before and just noticed for the first time that Jungkook was in EVERY SINGLE segment of the last number (except the few seconds where Jin and Suga sang). He even did the hard hitting trio with V and J-Hope, then the hard hitting duet with J-Hope and still sang perfectly throughout. BLOWN AWAY! (yes, I’m a fanatic 😂) No wonder I heard he had to be helped off and collapsed afterwards. I heard Jimin collapsed, too. That’s not To take away ANYTHING the other guys did. All of them gave their all to entertain the world. And I agree, best performance I’ve ever seen… and I’m 67 yrs old.
