Their old music still slaps to this day. I like to call their discography "timeless", because the songs really don't get old when you listen to them again & again. Their songwriting, strong messages and passionate performances have been consistent from the very beginning. I hope you enjoy checking out their albums because it really is a treat going through them and hearing the different sounds & also noticing how their voices get even better as the years go by! :) Thanks for the video! 💜

The lack of subtitles was actually a great motivator for ARMY. As soon as a song was released, bilingual ARMYs would get busy working on producing lyric videos and mv videos with subtitles. It was one of the things that brought them together and created community in the early years.

Jin, V, and Jimin all had much rougher-style voices as baby Bangtan. Their personalities weren't that different, though-- if you watch the making-of for Boy in Luv, Jin apologized profusely to the actress for pushing her against the lockers and kept checking to make sure she was all right after they finished filming that scene. Sweetheart then, sweetheart now. I'll also add... Danger was the song that clinched it for me and made me ARMY. 😁😎💜 (You should also check out the Danger (Mo Blue Mix), where they sing it with Thanh, the guy that wrote it. TOTALLY different mood, JUST as cool.)

I like how you do reactions. You comment on the video, music & lyrics. You pause when you comment, which means that we can hear you & you don't miss anything. You are not afraid to go back & see something or clarify a lyric. We are watching to see your reaction, not the video. For the 'don't pause' crowd, they should just give MV the views. I haven't found many female reactors who don't squeal, scream, or melt into a puddle when their bias comes on. My ears can't handle it. The first 2 videos were their debut videos back in 2013. Namjoon, Yoongi could rap and Jhope learned to rap. Only Jungkook could sing. Seokjin, Jimin and Taehyung had to learn from scratch. The only dancers were Jhope and Jimin both new hip hop. Only Jimin had a contemporary background. Honestly they truly worked so hard in order to debut. To this day I think they have the hardest choreography in all of Kpop. Just my opinion. I enjoyed your reaction! I don't think some of the guys were comfortable with their asthetis but that was what they were originally aiming for. Wings era was my introduction to Bts back in 2016. Note: Jimin finally received professional singing lessons 10 years later at 26yo in 2022. He sang those first few years basically untrained. Years later Jungkook taught him a certain amount. Now Jimin is finally able to train properly.

Rap Monster(RM) hair like a high top fade (Kid’N Play ) if you know you know what I’m talking about! Their ages at the debut of this were RM 19, Jin 21, Suga 20, J-Hope 19, JiMin 18, V 17, JungKook 15!? I might be a little bit off on their ages but I’m pretty sure that’s close to their ages!? I started stanning BTS in September 2013, right before their O!RUL8,2? album came out, so my first comeback with them was N.O. I highly recommend checking out that music video, because it speaks HELLA facts about the education system and to this day I love it so much. Their older songs are honestly just as good to me as their newer stuff. Also, even their b-side tracks are all SO amazing, there is not ONE BTS song that I don't like. If you ever decide to do full album listens, like listening to their discography in order, I would love to see videos like that if you'd ever want to. 😊💜 Also, fun fact: V was wearing a wig for the hair cutting scene so he wouldn't cut his real hair, but when V cut his wig in the end of the Danger music video, he accidentally cut his real hair anyways along with it and was like, NOOOOO! 🤣

"Don't give up on your dreams" WAS rebelling against expectations, when you were expected to study hard, get into the right school, the right job, the right class of society... early Bangtan was solidly hiphop. And I think debut Jimin was leaning pretty heavily into the stereotype of the Busan tough (but cute!) bad boy. Their early albums, though... usually when I get into a band and go back to listen to their early stuff, I can TELL it's their early stuff. There are usually a few good hits-- the things that fortell what they're going to be come-- but there are just as often a lot of misses, songs that were kind of experimental, or still finding their sound, or popular at the time but just kinda cringe now. Early Bangtan... doesn't have that. The sound is different, a lot heavier into the hiphop vibe, and certainly the themes match their younger age, but it still sounds like them. There are MAYBE one or two songs that are less polished, (and there are skits, which I think were a thing back in the day but not so much now), but in general their early albums are TIGHT and chock full of bangers. At least some of it was probably due to Bang PD's experienced ear, but early Bangtan was AWESOME. Had I found them earlier, I'm pretty sure I still would've been a fan.

I watched No More Dream early in my ARMYhood (2 yrs ago) and it was a little hard to connect with the video because they were so different and didn’t seem like themselves. Now I watch it with *enormous* affection for those kids who had no idea what was to come and who have grown into 7 men I love with my whole heart.

(No offense) because its strong message against the Korean educational system. All of their albums are conceptual masterpieces. They are storytellings and do it sooo well! Since I fell into this rabbit hole I found not even one bad song. I would love to hear them doing songs like those again... Ah! There is a version of Danger where they sing with a Vietnamese singer... it's a very very good version!! YES do extra stuff from these Eras! Lives, dance practices, ect. Early Bangtan is JUST as good in my opinion. It's just a different period in their life so they're speaking about different things. I suggest you take a look at the Mo Blue Remix of Danger! They did a music video with Mo Blue and it's one of my very favorite things!

Kpop is where they are now globally because of BTS. I don't get lot of "army" calling their older releases cringe. You have to see these songs from a 2013 lens & not 2020s lens. Apart from lyrics, the music sonically itself was & is very good as it is a direct throwback to 90s hiphop scene(especially no more dream) which the boys wanted to utilise for their debut as Hip Hop is their roots! I personally feel these earlier releases are gems each of its own!

Hi, i am back. Good reaction, ty. Great song. So catchy. JK rapping is chef's kiss. When I 1st heard this i was like oh i like this. This one is a hit. Remember BTS debuted as a hip hop group. Their debut songs were catchy and they were cute. The rapline had promise. Yes, JK is a sub rapper. If u love rap and have listened to it all ur life u can see this is cringe. But for us who are not rap fans we liked this. It was catchy and still is catchy. I listen to all their rap and i don't even like rap like that. They all can rap. And it's been almost 10 years since debut. Back than they did as the agency suggested. They did not know what they were doing. But they worked hard. Going to America during American Hustle Life they learned what real rap is. They grew from that experience a lot. They all trained for 3 years except Jimin. Jimin trained 6-8 months. Than they practice for this stage for 3 months. 16 hrs daily. They run on treadmills while singing. They had passion. They had drive and yeah they were angry. But they worked so hard and true army noticed. They grew slow and steadily but they always had more ppl then they predicted show up to concerts and other stuff. They truly are a gem of a group. Hugs. To stand out from all the other million bands debuting in 2013 they worked hard on the choreo and their singing/ rapping. They worked harder than other groups and became known for their amazing stage presence and choreo. This song was on their mini EP Skool Love Affair. All of them(EPs and albums) are great. (Halsey represents ARMY here. She wasn't expected to dance, but she decided she wanted to try). Both choreographies end with them doing "I love you" in sign language. Halsey got a sparkly mic from the guys as a gift because she loved theirs. In return she gave them pink tennis bracelets because they friends for life. She talks to RM all the time by text. They performed together in USA on an award show in May 2019. She is the only artist from the US who asked to learn their choreo. Their choreography is no joke. In the US its easy stuff. There are behind scene vids and interviews. Halsey will not let no one diss BTS. Hope u check out the behind the scenes videos. They all are so cute together. lol. barish's archive said on 10/27/21 Halsey went to Korea to film for this song and BTS and Halsey by far has the most endearing friendship ever!! About the song it's very close to my heart and this is literally ARMY's happy song. Halsey represents ARMY here in the song. This song is basically a letter to ARMY. As the Korean title of this song suggests, “a poem for small things.” When asked to talk about the song, RM said, “It’s about finding little joy in love, being curious about the little things, the details like what you’re eating, what you’re doing. But, most importantly, Boy With Luv is like a fan letter from BTS to ARMY. That’s the most important thing.” It is quite interesting to think about the shift from Boy In Luv (2014) to Boy With Luv - from a young, passionate, immature love that is represented with masculine, macho-like lyrics and visuals, to a mature, ‘true’ love that is about every small thing in life and in love that is represented with feminine, reflective lyrics that are more accepting and embracing. Good reaction(Danger), ty. Love this song and MV. This was their hardest choreo in the early years. So many dance crews studied this. This is still so dope years later. They are so in sync. So cool! Porpora said on 2/7/23 “Danger” is the title track from the album “Dark and Wild” (2014), their first studio album. The album describes that period between adolescence and young adulthood. It was recorded in the US while they were filming a reality show. They also recorded in the same studio in LA where the choir and the UCLA Bruin Marching Band recorded their part for “ON” and other songs in “Map of the Soul 7”. I don’t even know how they did it because they were exhausted. There are footage of them sleeping in the studio while waiting for their turn to record. Anyways, this album is great. My favorite songs are “Rain” (I really really want you to listen to it), “Cypher part3” of course, “What am I to you” (might be my favorite RM intro) and “Let Me Know”. You’ll hear snippets of the songs during the Rise of Bangtan 💜
