@@testierrobin She’s what.....21 years old? No one has dentures at that age unless they’re a drug addict. I think you probably meant veneers and got confused, but she had those perfect teeth even before she was on American Idol. And in all of her performances that I’ve seen, she is clearly singing live. It’s so obvious when people have to rely on auto tune to make them sound better.

That’s even worse. I had a girlfriend who went back to her ex as soon as we broke up. Her ex was partly why I didn’t want to be in the relationship anymore. And then when she got with her ex the next day, I wondered if she was ever fully there the entire time we were dating. Was I just a rebound? A distraction? It really did a number on my head and I felt it would have almost been better if she just got together with a brand new guy. Physical cheating with a new guy will always suck but emotional cheating with an ex during the entire time you’re dating is way worse This song would have been great therapy for me had it existed back then.

This link explains better. But, basically she was flying back and forth from her hometown to Nashville just after Idol (where she placed third) to try to get a country career jumpstarted. She co-wrote this song with some Nashville songwriters. She released it independently (without major record deal). It was so successful it got the attention of Warner Nashville, and they signed her.. which she talks about here. This guest performance was the next season. They probably had her come back because her independent song was a serious hit....climbing the charts.
