They’ll likely never be concerned with you or your athletes. For starters, T&F is not as popular in the US. So, they rarely focus on American athletes…so I know they’re likely not going to focus on you guys. Even though they’re supposedly an international cable channel. So…that’s that.

America is a country of immigrants. She was born here with an immigrant past. Whats wrong with acknowledging your ancestral nation and ethnicity? Just like with the term African-American. Jamaicans and aa came over on the same slave ships. Jamaicans acknowledge their African roots as well. What’s wrong with Gabby doing doing all three, acknowledging that she’s American, Jamaican and African. Jamaican could align with African-Americans nationally of ados. Because they were enslaved under the same colonial nation Britain. Slavery early ended around the same time for both. Not all all that different. You see the runners between both nations getting along, So why push negativity and division where there isnt any? What good is it?
@jessicam.47776 ай бұрын
@@jashuasmith9361 It’s nothing wrong with her acknowledging her Jamaican roots. But, you must acknowledge the ways in which some Jamaicans choose to engage, which is problematic. Regarding alignment with ADOS, what do you mean? When we refer to ADOS, we’re speaking of those of us whose ancestors were enslaved in the land that becomes the US and afterwards, not all of the Americas. We’re referencing a very specific lineage. Are you saying that you “support” ADOS?
@jashuasmith93616 ай бұрын
@@jessicam.4777 I get you with the problematic. Part if it is that negative propaganda of aa that many around the world buy into, ignorantly and willfully ignorantly. I’m talking about before the US and under the British nation. There was no difference between what is now known as the US and the Caribbean island colonies under British rule of African slaves. Why said ados can include those of the Caribbean, along with other former British colonies. And I mentioned Britain in case people wanted to be nationalistic. There were other slave colonies under one nation, Britain, because a lot of those of ados comes across as black nationalist. Then slave went under the US once it cut its independence was way more brutal though. I see the whole infighting as silly. And not making claims to reparations from other former colonies. Part of the argument with ados is about that.
