That's so nice of you !🥲🙂 I would say the worst part for me in painting nails is the precision to not get on the skin mainly cuticles 😅my mum bought for us beetles gel nail polish set from amazon it has top and base coat which I do have anyways but its nice set and for 20 pounds you get 21 small bottles with different colours I'm actually in disbelief how good they are ,at first I was like ugh probably some shit from China 😅 as I've seen some people on KZbin rave about them but I'm glad I gave them a chance now I'm gonna possibly order all sets they sell 🤣 . Anyway good luck 👍 ✨️ 😌 I hope your girlfriend is proud of you bc she should be not many guys would ever think about doing this for their partner especially with learning it more than just doing as best as you can once a year if you doing gel nails make sure you prep them good clean with acetone cut out excess cuticles slightly file top nail layer but only a bit you don't want to damage the nail apply base coat cure it ( sometimes I'm not sure if it's for doing longer nail only or not but if you research or maybe already know some people use dehydrator on the nail after filing and then ph balance product and then base coat and when you apply the colour usually 2 coats are recommend then you do top coat there is also matt top coat which is making the nail not shiny and it look as beautiful as the shiny one 😉

Great tips. Instagram nail artists make ombre seem super easy, but it's tricky. The three mistakes I used to make when I first tried ombre were: not waiting enough for the layers to dry and not cutting the sponge enough times, so I was getting little pieces of it all over my nails. I also used to pick super random colors. So my ombres were ugly, not matching at all and it was harder to blend the colors. I think those three are the most common mistakes. I'm still not great at it, (mostly because I rarely do ombres) but nowadays I don't make those mistakes anymore. It's so fun to experiment! 😊😊

@wowlily12453 жыл бұрын
@@abaforiwaprah2704 yes, you can. But bear in mind that colors need to blend. So if you pick two colors that are completely on opposite sides of the color wheel, such as red and blue, the gradient effect will be harder to achieve if you're a beginner. Try to combine colors that are on the same range. Such as yellow and green, pink and purple, white gray and black, etc.

Another tip: a white base is not necessarily needed. As long as you've applied a base coat ( a sticky coat works best) you'll have a successful ombre (also follow Angeliques tips) another tip: Cut the sponge in half length wise with a very sharp scissor. This way you wont get so much polish on your skin Use one piece for each hand apply polish for each finger because you'll have consistent color on each finger. After sponging your 5 fingers (for each half) cut that piece off horizontally and start fresh for your next coat (don't forget to wait 3 mins per coat. Another tip a lint roller works well to eliminate the pices left behind when you cut the sponge.

Gabby you are an excellent teacher. Love how detailed, clear and fast u bring the info! You can always tell a real nail pro by the SPACE BEFORE THE CUTICLE!! Before they were ever gel or UV nails, old school manicurists w SKILL made a perfect curve at the base of the polish… just a fraction from the cuticle. It’s an aesthetic thing as much as it protects the cuticle because taking polish right to your cuticle not only doesn’t grow out well (jagged) but doesn’t make the separation between colour and skin look as nice. Can’t wait to see the rest of your work. Thank you from T.O.

Because what I'm thinking of doing is having my base nail be clear but then have the tip fade to a nice pink color. Not like French tips but I want like a faded effect going on with the tip if that makes sense. Just not sure if using this same technique would work, but we'll see! I just may try this. 🧐

I always start with a base of the light colour in the ombré. So for the grey and pink I would do a single coat of pink first, not worried about it being perfect because the colour will build up during the sponging. That way the pink colour builds up quicker than over white. Also the more opaque the cream polish the less sponge coats you’ll need!

New follower!!! I've been doing my own dip nails for almost 2 years now and have been wanting to try ombre but was scared. I've looked up so many videos and found one that I love and will be using. But I love, love, love yours and will definitely be doing it ASAP!😍Thanks so much. I appreciate you and your awesome easy to follow teaching methods.🥰❤️❤️🥰
