The intro was definitely inspired by my co-host, Olivia, after seeing her epic announcement video! I am sorry the audio is soooo low quality on that first clip, it was super windy outside and I didn't realize how bad the audio sounded till I got home and it was too late to re-film it ): hopefully it's still enjoyable, we laughed our asses off filming the entire intro hahaha Camp Weekend-ween was such a fun time, I hope you all had a Happy Halloween!! honestly, you shouldnʼt worry when you donʼt enjoy a few books in your reading vlogs, itʼs not AT ALL underwhelming !! itʼs just as nice to know why you donʼt like certain books so when i do think about getting something, i can be like “hell no, Gabby didnʼt enjoy it and we have similar tastes in books” so thereʼs no point 😂 this reading vlog was amaze in any case !! 🎃💛

I actually loved Cackle 🕷 🕸 I just finished it and I was really invested in the characters and the commentary in general. First non-thriller I've read in a while. Agree on the repetitive parts but on the bright side I didn't notice as much since I was reading this while drinking Captain Morgan next to my fireplace.

I loved Camp Weekendween! I read two Riley Sager books (Home Before Dark and The Last Time I Lied) and two novellas by Kealan Patrick Burke (Sour Candy and Blanky) and I enjoyed all of them 💜

I got so excited when I saw You Should Have Left in the thumbnail. I recommended it to you because we usually have similar tastes when it comes to horror, so I'm so sorry you didn't like it! I understand what you mean about the writing style tho -- I liked it, but it's not for everyone. Glad to hear you liked The Night House! I read two of my most anticipated reads of the year this month (The Death of Jane Lawrence and Nothing But Blackened Teeth) and was deeply disappointed with both experiences. I pre-ordered and paid full price for both and it made me so mad! Two of my favorite cover arts turned out to be two of my least favorite reads of the year 😩

I couldn't really participate in camp weekend ween because of school but I still managed to read three books . In my dreams I Hold a Knife by Ashley Winstead ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ . This is one my books of the year . I LOVED it sooo much . So thanks for the recommendation. 56 days by Catherine Ryan Bowl ⭐️⭐️. I didn't really like it . There are some things that were decent. It was underwhelming. Jar of Hearts by Jennifer Hillier ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ more of a 4.5 . This was sooo well done. There were some lines that were bone chilling.

🔥 I finished reading Someone at the Door by Richie Tankersley Cusick. It was so good! It's about two sisters trapped in their home during a blizzard with a mass murderer on the loose..and I have fifty pages left until I finish Stolen Tongues. The maze part of this vlog was so funny

I felt the same about Cackle and a lot of the new releases for spooky season that I read!! Next year I’m only reading well known backlisted horror books. 🤣 I feel like everything is being marked as “horror” lately but it’s most definitely NOT! You Should Have Left, I think this is one of the rare instances where I got more out of the movie than the book (Kevin Bacon does a great job). I didn't like the screenplay script interspersed with the real characters' dialogue/thoughts; you're right, nobody cares. And, overall, it was just too damn short. I wanted more of the house's quirks.

I ordered my sweatshirt and chose to read The Troop by Nick Cutter. This book was very disappointing to me. I gave it 3 stars. Yes, it had some gore but overall the story was boring. I didn't like any of the characters and it seemed to be a long drawn out book. It's one of those books that there was so much hype that I expected so much more. I won't be reading any more of his books. Love your channel and your reviews of the books that your read.

Nothing but Blackened Teeth is, honestly, one of the worst books I've read in years. The obnoxious characters in combination with the horrible, wannabe-smart prose actually made me angry, and I ended up rage-reading the book after the first 10 pages or so. I really don't know who thought it was a good idea to release this mess and then promote the shit out of it. Also, why the fuck is this slim little 130-page book so fucking expensive? Khaw isn't even a household name. All this managed to do is me never buying one of her books ever again. edit: Trick 'r Treat is great. If you enjoyed that one, give Krampus a shot on Christmas. It's great as well and done by the same people.

I really hated Nothing But Blackened Teeth. It had a few decent scenes, I HATED all the characters, they're arrogant and immature and just flat out stupid. Nearly nothing even happened. I liked the story of the bride though...give me 300 pages about that instead.
