Another excellent Mira Grant book is "Feed" which is zombies. But unlike other zombie books this is not about the beginning it takes place like 25 years after the initial zombie outbreak. It is also very science based and after going throughout current pandemic it was very interestinghow they handle testing. I really want to read "Into the Drowning Deep" but not currently available on any of my library or book subscription apps.

LOVED this themed horror book review and hope you do many more! You mentioned one thing that I find equally aggravating and that's having characters with similar names and they start with the same letter; Holly and Halley. Some day when I am a famous author (suuuure) and I'm asked how to write a great story, my number 1 tips/rules would be to never use names that start with the same letter - come on man, there's hundreds of thousands of names out there! And 2 would be they shouldn't sound the same like Holly and Sulley. When I write a story or book I actually have a list of names to use, like names I think are interesting...it's all in the name right? Thanks so much for the Sutera pillow review, am so getting that! Huuugs from Hagerstown!

I loved Into de drowning deep! I was pretty fascinated with the marine biology stuff too, so I didn't find it long at all! Did you know she also wrote a short prequel about the Atargatis, the first boat they sent out? Rolling in the deep. The audiobook is just 3 hours, so maybe you'd get more of the horror you wanted in that one, but I can't be sure, I haven't read it yet!
@ManEatingTeddyBear3 жыл бұрын
i've been desperately searching for a new pillow, so consider me sold! 'The Hollow Places' has been on my TBR, so hearing you DNF makes me a little wary of it, but fantasy elements in books don't bother me. i think i still might give it a try?

11/10 vlog! Love the editing and the theme. I felt the same way about The Deep, for me the ending was just a massive info dump which I didn't like. I loved Into The Drowning Deep though so glad you liked that! I'd be so down for a horror in space/sci fi reading vlog! I'm always on the look out for books like that but there don't seem to be many. I read Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer but really didn't like it. How about an apocalyptic reading vlog? The Last by Hanna Jameson would fit that! And I Am Legend by Richard Matheson.
