N0S4A2 has to be pronounced Nosferatu (like the vampire) :)

The UK edition is spelt ‘NOS4R2’. Strange. They must think the British accent would affect how NOS4A2 is pronounced.

Gabby, Finally, someone else who has read The Troop!! I read The Troop a few months ago! I agree with everything you said about it. There were many times that I was gagging while reading. I kept starting to put the book down and quit reading it, but I couldn't. I had to keep reading it. The animal scenes really bothered me too. It did give me nightmares for several nights during and after reading it. It is one book that I will not ever be able to forget. One night a few days after I had finished reading the book, I fixed some soup to eat. I was sitting there eating the soup when all of a sudden that book came to mind and I quit eating and started gagging. I was eating chicken noodle soup so you can imagine what I was thinking. I had to toss the soup out. I still haven't been able to eat chicken noodle soup and it has been months.

I'm so glad that you enjoyed the Southern Book Club guide too! I listened to the audiobook, and it was fantastic! The narration was perfect, and I agree that this book really portrays the way women were viewed in the '90s. I really enjoyed that the author allowed each of the women to come into their own and really band together. The troop was something else. I listened to the audiobook for this to and it was very gory, horrific, and I loved every second of it. I really enjoyed hearing your live reaction to what you read in the book. Personally, the most terrifying part for me was Shelly who was psychopathic, and he creeped me out more than the worms. Even though the book was told from the boys' perspective it was so graphic and suspenseful in all the best ways.

I'm pretty sure with nos4a2 the sentences that stop midsentence are finished with the next chapter title. At least that's how I read it. Overall I wasn't a fan of this one idk why it's so hyped. Well actually I take that back it's because it's Stephen King's son.

Great reading vlog. It's awesome seeing your horror reading journey. Great picks for your first horror center vlog. I really enjoyed The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires. It's made me feel all the emotions. Love Grady's writing. Check out My Best Friend's Exorcist if you like his writing. Really loved that one also by him. The Troop was so disturbing and I loved it. It made me feel so uncomfortable. His book The Deep is also really creepy. It's more of aquatic horror. Really enjoyed his writting. Yeah one thing about Joe Hill writing is a hit or a miss. I enjoyed N0S4A2 but it's not for everyone. The name of the book is a play on the classic vampire Nosferatu of the silent film. Maybe you will enjoy Heart-Shape box by him. Really enjoyed that one more and was super creepy. A lot of people say his best work is Locke & Key his graphic novel series. I really enjoyed it. Very unique.
