I just returned from Israel yesterday. Tel Aviv is SUPER cool. It is a modern and mostly a secular city, and it feels like the entire city is one giant construction zone. And yes it is expensive for sure. But I will say that the food quality there is among the best you will find anywhere in the world.

Street food is also expensive here, plus if you care about your health and don't consume synthetic fats/gluten/soy, you might get broke just by eating out. The grocery shopping is also expensive but a bit less, it's tolerable at the moment. I'm allergic to most cheap ingredients apparently, so I mostly cook at home. And still, financially struggling.

@@nananan14 for tourism purposes I agree, but you can't compare the remote small cities to Tel Aviv. You missed filming the most famous feature of Tel Aviv - sitting on the beach watching the huge red sun sink into the Med. While the prices for food are high in those areas, geared toward tourists and well-paid hipsters, the main issue driving the TLV rating for priciest city is the cost of housing. Tiny apartments there can go for $1M-$2M, if you can find one. It's definitely NOT a cheap vacation spot, but it is worthwhile and interesting to see while you are in the country touring the historical sites.

Welcome to Israel, Enjoy Tel Aviv/Jaffa, it is a fast paced, interesting, artistic, friendly and expensive city. I live in the South of Israel on the edge of Ramon Crator. in the Negev Desert, which is exquisite. Hope you come to Mitzpe Ramon. I am delighted you included Israel in your itinerary this time too. Have a great trip, even though it is the hottest time of the year.....it is cool in the desert.

Crazy prices there in Tel Aviv. What makes Isreal so expensive and are the other cities there also as shockingly dear. Great video.

Tel Aviv is the only metropolitan city where people can generally find high paid jobs. So people flock there and of course prices go up to meet the demand of a greater population who want to live there. There are also other factors such as Israel surrounded by mostly not so friendly countries and therefore importing stuff is expensive which raises prices. Also hotels have to pay insurances which covers them from wars or missile attacks from not so friendly neighbours.

You strolled right by my apartment! Respectfully, this is a tour of just the coast of TLV - a very small part of the city! There is sooo much more ha! The city has become outrageously expensive and very well deserves the unfortunate title of most expensive city in the world! And i lived in NYC for years - not even close! It wasnt always like this

@@CalvinCooke18i am Palestine 🇵🇸 supporter but recognize israel 🇮🇱. It isn’t safe , Israel 🇮🇱 is among top 10 on expensive city from world list . I can’t agree safety , Palestine 🇵🇸 or Terrorists bombing happens ( they west people only hears israel 🇮🇱 airstrikes against innocents syria people and terrorists organizations, they don’t know about terrorists bombing to Israel 🇮🇱 ). If we not considering terrorists in the list , still israel 🇮🇱 will be no safest because Extremists among jews attacks against Palestinians and Christians priests in the holy city of Jerusalem is famous, even Palestine 🆚 israel 🇮🇱 small clashes.
