Actually the stock corvette weighed in at around 3,000 lbs. Morrison chassis, 572 big block, 40 pounds of leather easily over 3,00 pounds now, but a beautiful car, always loved Gabes upholstery work.

still if you consider that there are now small cars that have much more weight on them it is amazing to see that a car from the 60s weighs roughly 300 kilograms than an NB mazda Mx5. I own an 125i Bimmer witch is considered as a compact car but still outweight's this car by 200 kg.s and in this particular case has 400 less horsepower xddd.

Stunning, as a Brit I don’t think Corvettes get the appreciation they deserve, at least not in the past. Maybe that’s changing now. These are as good as any Ferrari and most other cars. The interior looks fantastic, although I’d like to see a red/black combination. Beautiful car and a fantastic retro job.

I remember Gabes Customes from way back in the day. They are the best in the industry in my opinion. I love the exaust coming out of the bumper. What a stunning build!! I think it would look better with the full hood with a scoop to cover what wouldn’t clear but it’s still BAD ASS!! Great video!!

That's one BadAss Vette😎. I give mad props to who thought of intergrating the exhaust coming out the corners of the bumper👍. Not much of a fan of hood cut out. That would be the only thing I would change. Should of went with a cowl hood or something for a cleaner look.

Who doesn't want a Big Block car with a 6 speed. You get to feel that great American torque in every gear. Probably still cruise at 80mph turning no RPMs in 6th. It's just perfect.

One thing that stood out immediately is that you both looked very comfortable while driving, despite the difference in body types; which points to the masterful work done by Gabe's. In the 70s I had 3 friends who owned Vette's; a '56, 'a 65 and a '69, but they really didn't do anything for me (with the exception of helping r/r the radiator on the '69 427 ... an experience I'll never forget). But this build is awesome ... all the way around; love that car.

12 seconds in and I'm freaking out over the craftsmanship of the integrated muffler/bumper, then I hear its an Art Morrison chassis!The interior looks on par with the latest and best Mercedes or better and probably even higher quality.What an absolute gem, with the power to back it up and rubber and suspension to put it down.Proper build.

Yeah man, Jeff Bridges Doppelgänger look like it was his first time asking about a Classic American Muscle. And the employee for Gabe's wasn't much good on his end either, I mean he couldn't even go into real detail about the build of the car cause most likely all they did was touch the interior and nothing else.(Great interior guy's!)👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 I'm a Die Hard Chevy Racing Motörhead but this vid Sucked! They were better off just driving around opening everything up when parked and playing a good 80's or older rock song in the background.👍🏼
