The announcers are totally wrong on two counts. First, there is no way that they can say that the eye poke was not intentional. Secondly, if the fighter can't see out of one eye, she is at a serious disadvantage against the other fighter. If she continues to fight and loses, that goes on her record as a loss, irregardless of the eye poke.

In the next fight that night after this one, one of the fighters got stuck in the dressing room because the door lock got stuck and they had to call the locksmith and the opponent won by default. Then, in the featured fight of that night, one of the opponents car broke down on the way to the fight and took a taxi to the arena. But, that taxi got caught in traffic for two hours and the other guy won by default. So that audience in that arena only saw 10 seconds of fighting that night which ended with a thumb in the eye. To make up for all of these problems the promoter tried playing fight footage of other fights to this audience. But, the jumbo screens stopped working after a dog urinated in computer room in the venue.
