I must say, I find the combination of stark professionalism and a certain home-shop vibe very interesting. I also much prefer this over watching someone do sloppy work in a fullblown workshop. Beautiful instrument.

I spent the whole video wondering why on Earth you left the circle inlay with an incomplete spot. It seemed so odd for someone taking such attention to detail and with such incredible craftsmanship. And then I saw that the neck covered that spot and it all made sense. Thank you so much for your work, it was entertaining and enjoyable watching your skills.

Incredible! Its a great competition, and I watched so many videos last year but to be honest I think I enjoyed this more than any of the ones I watched, despite there being some exceptional builds. When the build went from looking like a more standard acoustic, to then adding more and more detail and complexity I was hooked, and the final result is modern, yet still classy and tasteful. You would be a worthy winner!

Lol...I'm a carpenter/builder in ont. Canada. And a hack guitar player/builder. We removed some spruce 2x4s from the 1950s from a house and I basically did what u are doing in it video...worked out great. I used a neck from a cheap guitar tho....wasn't ready to tackle that on first build.....thnx for the vid.
@johnnyrockmelon55143 жыл бұрын
Wow. Some of your methods are ingenious. Best guitar build video I've seen. I have all the wood for a build but I find getting started a little bit daunting. You certainly have put this in perspective for me. Time to get glueing I think. Beautiful guitar too and it sounds great. Really well done.
@GabiM31123 жыл бұрын
Well, try out the steps with a scrapwood guitar first and you'll learn a lot from that. My first one form scrapwood took me about 6 months, building from time to time between my real work and life, with only the ordinary tools I had at home. Now I need a week for a guitar, in between real life and work, so you certainly will get the idea of it quickly. Something that helps me is to always remember that with a material like wood you almost can fix anything that goes wrong. ;-) Good luck with your first build.
