Hey y’all! (Hope you see this)[read full comment please] Faster than fan mail, here we go. This song. I’m obsessed. Every lyric is related to my life right now, some in metaphor form and some more literally than others. I’ve even said “here’s your two cents back” before the song came out. This song is my favorite song that you guys have ever written. Keep it up! I absolutely cannot wait for your next release. In fact, the entire jungle in the city album is just pure fire.🔥. You guys inspire me. P.s. I was one of the V.I.P.s at the Omaha NE show on your tour. Best day of my life btw. those heart-shaped sunglasses came from my group 🎉

Sign Up Think With Your Chest Gable Price and Friends Lyrics About Tracklist Comments 1 3 Think With Your Chest Lyrics [Verse] There is an organ in my rib cage It also lives upon my sleeve I can admit it's made some mistakes But I'd rather live with it than die so comfortably [Pre-Chorus] Pump the brakes on the cardiac You know the heart can be misleading That's what they're tellin' me Well, keep the change, here's your two cents back I don't believe you that I need it That I need it [Chorus] I keep hearing, "Think with your head, not with your chest It'll only get you in trouble." But with all due respect, everyone еlse is depressеd Yeah, they're living down in the rubble Everyone's a critic, but few are the chef Everyone's pointing out the spills, but few are cleaning up the mess They're busy thinking with their heads Oh, so, think with your chest [Verse] I don't think that we're on the same page Something has got to go or give I don't think surviving is the best case Everyone's bound to die, but few will ever live [Pre-Chorus] Pump the brakes on the cardiac You know the heart can be misleading That's what they keep on tellin' me Well, keep the change, here's your two cents back I don't believe you that I need it That I need it [Chorus] I keep hearing, "Think with your head, not with your chest It'll only get you in trouble." But with all due respect, everyone else is depressed Yeah, they're living down in the rubble Everyone's a critic, but few are the chef Everyone's pointing out the spills, but few are cleaning up the mess They're busy thinking with their heads Oh, so, think with your chest [Bridge] Let's pack it up and go home, if this is all there is Expensive frames for photos, with nothin' fillin' it The calculated outcome has lost my interest I ain't thinking with my income, I'm thinkin' with my chest Don't wanna be another name badge who nailed the status

Love Gable. We've seen you in concert in Charlotte, what a great show! What a great song musically, but terrible theologically. Listen to it for entertainment, not instruction, or not at all. "The heart is more deceitful than anything else, and incurable-who can understand it?" (Jer 17:9 CSB). Telling people to think with their chest is like telling people, "follow your flesh." And to suggest that thinking with your heart is a solution to depression is a blatant lie. How about this: Think with your wise, Spirit-filled conscience as guided by the scriptures.

I'm so sad you drifted from the lyrics of faith of your debut to the "thoughts about life" like in this song, that obviously is a good song but... 😢 Dear Gable you are an amazing lyricist, and I still hope will come a day where you will pour your whole heart in songs with a more christian purpose than your latest songs 🤍 The gift you have is great, may your "chest" beats for Jesus in everything you do 🙏

I think what Gable has said is that he never pictured himself as a band going the typical Christian ministry route, but sees himself playing in bars and other secular gigs with music that points to a better life found in Christ. I think this song is a way for Christians to recalibrate too. We so often lean upon our own understanding, our own interpretation of Scripture, way we think God works, and find comfort and solace in our firm theology, rather than acknowledging Him in all we do and letting the Spirit actually guide us forward w/ the peace of His presence. He speaks to us in our heart and so if we train to be quiet and sit, we will hear. As we are loving Him with all our being, delighting ourselves in the Lord, the desires of our heart will find its place and He will grant those. Ps. 37:4 So let’s not be believers that walk by rational sight, but by faith in the invisible One who dwells within our newly given heart ❤️ 🙏

@@matthewmoore498 The last songs they have released have made me doubt if they are Christian :c I don't know what you think
@matthewmoore4982 ай бұрын
@@JuanElVrjn I can see the concern Juan as the lyrics aren’t jump-out-at-you obvious Christian, but if it were the secular world typically turns it off. Gable is reaching a different audience, being a fisher of men rather than feeding his own pond. I can assure you that these songs have ministered to me and the Spirit places those newer songs of Gable’s on my thoughts throughout the days as guidance or an impromptu for more of what He wants to share. I think we can see the depth of their genuine love and walk of faith expressed through their first album and continued in a different artistic expression in these newer songs. I wouldn’t worry about them. Pray that the Spirit continues to be with them in the lyrical sessions as they write these songs from the place where Christ dwells, the heart. (Eph 1:17) ❤️ 🙏
