You didn't show anything about how to finish it at the ridge.

How do you trim a rake that angles up to the ridge? Meaning the ridge is longer than the eaves below, so when the trim is applied the butyl tape can not be applied because the peaks and valleys of the metal roofing panels are leaving 3/4" gaps between the rake trim and the valley of the roofing panel itself.

Put a different profile trim under the cut end of the metal roofing panels (it comes out from under the metal roofing panels and cuts a 90 down over the fascia board.) It should have a J-channel or drip edge because there will be water coming down this trim piece! Disclaimer: I'm not a roofer and have no idea what I'm talking about. But this is how I assume it could be done.

Why exactly do you need the tape if you’re putting it over a roof that already has metal panels on it? It’s like hey we need to make that part water tight because that part of the metals not as good as the other

It does hold it down though? Like double stick tape

If everything is done right on the roof, he shouldn’t have to be held down with tape because the pressure alone should be pushing on it pretty well and then you can always think a couple screws in it if you want

What do you do when on the opposite side of the roof when the corrugation doesn't line up properly for the rake to seat correctly?

Get the rake made in the correct dimensions! I ran into this today had to call and order rake to my specs

.just have a full piece at each end.

You either layout the first piece so that doesn't happen on the last piece or you buy a wider rake piece.

You put it on top of the screws? ROFLMAO.. its an animation, you can do anything you want, and you still put it on top of the screws!
